It works as a CVT. As the rpm rises, it modifies the torque coming from the engine to the wheels. it mimics changing gears to a closer ratio as the rpm increases, as the rpm decreases it brings the ratios further apart like 1st gear would be in a vehicles transmission.

You might want to come up with a plan B for the wheels. This one's aren't meant to hold up to a sideload. They're meant to lean into corners.

steering arms should point to center of rear axle, king pin should be angled so it points to center of spot where tire touches the ground. Also should have king pins rolled back a few degrees. Great cart and nice to see the others helping!! Thanks for the video Jimmy.

You're such an inspiration Jimmy! Not only in making, but life in general. Watched a documentary on you last night on youtube and just wanted to thank you for the inspiration over the years. I've been watching since Hammered & Dirty Money and followed you along the years. From when I was a teen, now I'm 35. Now I'm working on getting my own land oasis's and have my work spaces in Northern California. Even though I have never met you in person, I can tell you're a genuinely cool dude and when I "grow up" (don't think we ever will) I want to be like you! Love your videos and wanted to say Thanks!

Even keeping up on Instagram there are so many more parts on this build that I thought were off the shelf components that you actually built from scratch. But besides that, the visual appeal of this thing is just off the charts. I didn’t think you could outdo last year’s build but it looks like you did🙌🏻

Amazing! Always the just about perfect ratio of exact versus eyeballed! The technician and the artist all in one craftsman. Always a treat to watch, always something valuable new to learn. Also there might be scratch built go carts before but the 20s styling on this one is right on the money (expect perhaps the CVT and the disk brake, but again they both somehow don't seem to subtract from the style much if any)
