The real question, who will be the first to fart on that stool? 😅

Jimmy. Your diagonal is going the wrong way. Oh my.
@jimmydiresta9 сағат бұрын
The diagonal is purely cosmetic. Steel gets stretched. Wood gets compressed… the gate is both so it hardly matters. Btw it never dropped at all. Still in place

I love the solid look. .awesome only thing I would have suggested is elongated holes in the stool so the seat could expand and contract with moisture changes and not split the seat😊 (but I'm no expert that is for sure) great job!

You're a talented guy who knows his strengths and weaknesses and his tools! I sculpt my furniture projects and use the tools I know. Was thinking about the 1 inch blade for cutting ( new) lol! Great "on the run" pattern making. Always good to hear you discuss the mental process. I always quote you about learning on the first piece. Then I hope I can remember it! LOL!

Listening to the podcast it really made me think about being too precious with wood. I have a variety of small pieces that I'm saving for the king's shoes that I realized that I should probably just use up. Great build.
@rafezetter800313 сағат бұрын
I did this just 2 days ago with some mahogany that I had prepped for another project... a couple of years ago that didn't get off the ground, and I was like, "but it's mahogany" and then I looked at my STACK of reclaimed mahogany I've got (quite a lot) and I was like "yeah yeah ok ok - fine I'll use it and prep more IF I ever get around to doing that project".
@MrTapanes8 сағат бұрын
"Saving for the king's shoes" What a great phrase. Am currently sitting on about a dozen 10 & 8/4 slabs (accumulated over a while) that I've been saving for something special. I guess I should try to make something special then.
