Subject to correction, this is the story as told by the current owner:
This Frick 1921 8-1/2 X 10 traction engine was built in 1921 with all then available options. Frick kept it at their Waynesboro, Pennsylvania factory and never sold it.
Frick finally decided to release it sometime in the early 1970s when it was acquired by long time Frick employee John Palmer for its 1921 price of $1600. Exhibited at only two antique machinery shows it would go on to spend most of the next 50 years in a barn.
Josh Nace acquired it in 2020 where it made a few additional show appearances.
Finally, in mid 2023, Danny Ayers' Upper Mill Creek Venue at Canton, Texas acquired it.
The sawmilll is a made mostly of Frick parts and was originally used by the J. H Hutchins sawmill at Edom, Texas until 1992.
Lineshaft Restorations note:
It could use two additional carriage knees. One with a knight's log dog and the other with a taper attachment. Size 00 or 0. If you have any parts please comment or contact via Lineshaft Restorations YT channel.
