Come check out this piece of vintage construction equipment!
This is a 1925 Acme Roller built in Frankfort, NY. It was restored by Bob and Casey Astry.
It's powered with a Fordson engine, transmission, and rear end, and would have been used for building roads, parking lots, etc. It has additional gearing in the rear to provide reduced speed.
It is also equipped with a scarifier on the back for breaking up hard packed material so it could be graded and repacked. It has two wheels for the operator, one of which is for steering, and the other raises and lowers the scarifier.
We hope you enjoyed this video, thank you for watching!
