Taking away from appearance and value. The hands are not original you have 2 different and style hands plus they are not the Black color specified in the Railroad watch specifications regulations and rules.

Too bad you have a fake salesman case ( rear cover replaced by front bezel.from.similar case ) Weather a true salesman case or fake a displace case renders the watch impractical to be worn. And a Deffinate REJECTION by ALL Railroads. It also Reduces the Value of Great Watcb the Hamilton 992 16s 21j double roller lever set Railroad Grade ( DOES NOT MEAN RAILROAD APPROVED, ACCEPTED OR USED. IT MEANS IT HAS 1 OR MORE RAILROAD SPECIFIC FEATURES) the real saleman cases had the manufacturers name in bold block letters around the bezels. In this case it say... HAMILTON WATCH COMPANY Your watch dies not have these markings that is a very good indicator not a true Salesmans case but a made up ( in other words fake) salesmans case could have been done by a jeweler or by anyone the watch based through up to and including yourself. Easily made by removing rear cover replacing with a front bezel and crystal
