You have no idea. I played a 1934 OM-28 and it sounded like angels! The neck felt amazing and met modern standards. Cost $30,000... I told myself I'd buy one when the GUITAR earns me $30k/year

It’s always such a pleasure when Angela and Jen team up. I must admit, I got a bit misty when Angela’s voice quivered as she spoke about the Martin. Stellar job Angela…as always…and thanks Jen for you’re videography!

Can’t beat a bit of over the hills and far away. I love that Angela misses a few strings but carries on regardless. Gives me an idea of how I’d sound playing it and I like that.

OMG, I have to respond. I picked up a OM 28 “Custom Modern Deluxe… la de da…anyway, I really enjoyed this, as I’m aware of this long standing Martin Model but, never have seen one. Go to the Martin web to check it out but, there has of course been updates, while still staying with the traditional design of the Model OM 28 itself. Differences? No pyramid ebony bridge design, headstock on the new version is stunning. Still Rosewood on back & sides, with spruce cooked top, VTR. There is a titanium truss rod, gold plate machines, “Flaming Maple” wood bindings upgrade, graphite bridge/backing and fancy pegs/called “Liquid Metal”. I have a Martin dreadnaught but, this is so much fun to play, when I do any driving, it’s in the back of the car, by my side… anyway, have fun, I appreciated the video…

The moment my mind cognisized the thumbnail of Angela with yet another historic quality Martin there seemed no other possible course in life but to click...compulsively. Actually hearing it reminded me of something Crosby Stills and Nash used (and still do). The A game dream acoustic. The sort of guitar where even tuning up is a deep emotional experience. Wayne from Wayne's World would have seen a spiritual light coming from the case. Oh yes it shall be mine etc. Not surprising Brandon pointed Angela in this particular direction. That rose wood looks antique, and that aderondack spruce unreal. The balance and the clarity with that pure confident bass. My bass guitar has a special modified truss rod...it is so mangled it can't be adjusted, but we can dream of guitars like this and Angela let's us peak into this world of the rock and roll royalty's equipment. We are not worthy...the Cat - music therapy channel for the lost in life - see top.thankyou.

Mighty fine playing Angela sounds like you were playing either Can't You See by The Marshall Tucker Band or Stardust by the late great David Bowie and recognized the Third song Over the Hills and Far Away by Led Zeppelin again mighty fine playing keep up the fine work I play the guitar and bass guitar myself love listening to you play take care.

How in the name of god can a guitar so old be kept in such amazing condition!! Yes this Guitar was loved and cared for imagine the stories it could tell, I would love to play it. However I would say the the price tag would be astronomical, I wonder how much its worth ladies? Sort of reminds me of my old 1972 Yamaha FG-160 sound wise...

Wow that sounds so lovely. So on vintage acoustics… how long is glue predicted to last from this point forward even with temp/humidity controlled care.

The wood will crack from dry and wet conditions. THe glue isn't a problem on well made guitars like Martins. The neck will need to be reset after 30 to 40 years. Sooner if heavy strings are used. If you ever watched a tech reset on an old Martin neck, they have to fight to get the glue to let go. I think they use Hyde glue that crystalizes over time. It isn't going anywhere ever.

How are the necks on the older Martins? I've payed a few newer Martins and the necks were too thin, from the fret board to the back. I have a 67 J50 and the neck is perfect for me.
