From what ive seen on yt videos about these early fans,GE seems to be the best,looke like GE made the motors with 4 back screws and 4 screws in the front of the motor,ive never owned a GE antique fan before,but in May month im getting my first GE antique fan,its on my channel so long,its a 16 inch,sounds like a beast on high speed,but i maybe need to fix the oscillation,or maybe if im lucky the lady thats selling me the fan just dont know how to engage thx oscillation,great fan you got here,greetings from South Africa.

@ridgemeadowhobbyfarm8658 Thank you,i am going to subscribe to your channel,i do have a vintage Toshiba fan,also on my channel,also a great fan made in Japan,but ive seen on yt some vintage 1920s/30s fans got long screws from the back of the motor to the front of the motor,i think that GE is better because it has 4 screws at back and 4 in front,i dont like that idea of having 4 long screws with nuts on the motors,seems like those 4 long screws can break easily

@Richard Maritz Thank you! You are absolutely correct in those screws being easy to break. The ones on my Graybar are brass, and I snapped the head off of one. They have a strange thread pattern as well, and I have not been able to match it, thus far.
