Thanks for sharing your unwrapping with us. Ahhhh Featherweights are warm my heart. I think the case is interesting with the brass latches and green interior. I've only seen one other like it. 🦋

The clamp is to aid the sewer when ripping out a seam etc. It holds the fabric ( Sometimes called "the sewing bird" )… It is a shame someone replaced the cord with that generic "Made In China" cordset. The bakelite connector is gone and the original cord was fabric covered ( this can be purchased from old radio supply companies as well as a correct plug.

Where did you get your box cutter?? I love it!
