I just brought my mom's 9N Ford tractor in the shop. It had been sitting in another garage for over 20 years. It had an electrical fire, so that's where it sat. New wiring harness, new plugs and wires, new points, and distributors cap. Away we went. Running on all 4 cylinders.

The old Fords are great tractors. We had an 8N and it is the only one that we really regret selling. It is amazing how many parts you can still get for them. There's even a company nearby where I live that specializes in them.

@@lifeafterourloss Maybe you should keep your eyes open for one again Aaron it would make for great content because they are so popular but if you and the Cleaner decide to look for one try and find a side distributor and proof meter that’s the one with all the upgrades but just a suggestion 😀🇨🇦

That’s exactly how I feel when I’m on my little 8N I can really think things through when I am using the 6’ blade and the gravel always looks fresh when I’m done 😀🇨🇦

I have always found those single front tires to be unusual. My dad had a McCormick WD-9 back in the 70's and that had a conventional front axle/wheel configuration.

I have always felt the same way. In fact our 400 Farmall we just converted it back to row crop configuration. I just can't get used to it. The tractor always had a wide front end as long as I can remember it. I will say on a tractor as small as the "H" it is very nimble. 😊

Sounds as good as new. Usually the magneto seems to be one of the weak links on these. But lucky it was just foiled spark plugs and bad wires.

FARMALL is the flavor of the month here. Just working on a BMD and Super BMD. Which we are thinking about making one into a 3 wheeler. Also got a couple of H's. Me and pop always tune in to see what you and your pop are up to 👍🏻

I'm the same way. I like to comb the gravel until it's absolutely perfect. Sometimes people will drive into the driveway and apologize for messing it up. To be honest if you could wear out gravel, it's already wore out. 😊

If you are a member of ACMOC (antique caterpillar machinery owners club) you could ask on the wanted to buy section. Or maybe keep an eye out on ebay. 😊
