I, just got my B JD two weeks ago. 51 model. Took the brakes all apart including the castings that bolt to the frame.(pedals would stick) be cool brother and take good care of that machine.

Did you put a screen in the sediment bowl? It goes above the gaslet. Deere still has them. If you did then disregard. By the way nice job so far. I have a 44 and a 49. I love these tractors. They still get used on the farm.

I just realize something - you are probably missing two brackets, one on each side, that bolts to the frame that protects the spark plugs from damage. In this video, around 3:50 mark, you can see them being talked about: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jsdjpNyoqtGUpmg.html I'm sure a B should have them also. There is also a tube that runs between the two spark plugs that houses the plug wired. I think in 1948, JD changed the design a bit to where these brackets wasn't needed.
