Thank you for updating the title test with "Sorry Sold". It's so irritating when people list a car for sale, then never bother to inform viewers that the car is no longer available. Kudos to you for doing that!

Back in the late 70's I bought a 49 Cad 62 series with original light blue/green paint, needing new paint, spent 3 years restoring it, sent the rear fender spears out to be rechromed, but they came back warped from buffing and they were to deformed to straighten !! Never got another set. This one is BEAUTIFUL, THANKS for sharing

Wow! This brings back memories. My dad had one when I was a teen and it was a everything a Caddy was famous for - an elegant head turner and chick magnet! No AC of course and in cold weather the windows would fog up quickly when my girlfriend and I were at the drive-in movie. It had a good AM radio, one speaker and vacuum tubes which included one that would produce a 60 cycle hum as it converted DC to AC. Only one battery though so I had to be careful not to run it down. I sure miss those days. It was an age of innocence for the country, when the worst that happened was a playground fight and too much liquor on a Saturday night.

Beautiful! When in law school back in the mid seventies, I drove a ‘57 Fleetwood. Pistons the size of coffee cans and mpg which never got over ten!

Just magnificent. Looks better than brand new if that's possible, minor scuffs notwithstanding. The styling is the high water mark for American car industry - unbeatable.

Damn what a beautiful 49 series 62 sedanette ! This model is one of the most elegant designs by Cadillac. Certainly the " Standard of the World " !

Similar to F C Burgner’s comment, this brought me back to my childhood, my dad had a 1952 which is similar to this one. I remember the windshield wipers were run by vacuum and if you gave it the gas they would slow down. This car is magnificent and must be a pleasure to drive. Thank you for a great well done video. 👍🏻

I'd like to have a living room big enough that I could just keep this on display as art. It's just too good for a garage.

Beautiful car. I have memories of cleaning the inside of the back window on the family's '60 Chevy, that sloped like that. One had to almost be a contortionist to clean that and when finished always to find a big smudge on the glass. :)

This is pure beauty. Everyone who gets into classic cars...looks at the 1930's cars ..like rolls deusenburg packard etc. and rightly so...but then it goes to the great 1950's cars..again fantastic..but take a minute to look at these 1940's cars...and again the Cadillac..wow..this is stunning. Just look at those rear fenders..this looks like a Harley Earl design?

That’s when cars were cars not the pieces of plastic and fake metal of today. Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages this is a real car. Whoever had the car took very good care of it. Hope the new owner gets to enjoy it for a long time. Thanks for the great video.

No way the glass is original. My 58 CADILLAC, my parents bought in 1960 , has all the original glass. Every piece has delamination issues all around the edges of the glass. It's just the edges. So it's not an issue, but it does prove it's the original glass, 62 years old. Lifelong southern California car, I'm still driving it. Original engine and transmission, I was1 year old when they bought it.

You did not do the designer of the car justice, Harley Earl styled the rear fins to resemble the Lockheed P- 38 lightning's tail fins.

Using the personal pronoun "HER" when talking about this Cadillac is so appropriate. It was over the top when they made it in 1949, and even more so today and it's the highest quality throughout.

Because 1949 turned into 1950, 1950 turned into 1951 etc etc. It would have been odd to see it appear as the new Cadillac even by 1952 when major redesigns happened every 3 years in those days. It's called manufactured obsolescence, and it perpetuated selling to the consumer who had been well-conditioned to want the "new".
