1950 Chevy Pickup Truck - Part 3: Mounting the A/C Unit

  Рет қаралды 58,243

Bello's Kustoms

Bello's Kustoms

Күн бұрын

Mounting the coil pack properly to the intake manifold. Pulling the condenser out and remounting the fan with new brackets. Mocking up the air conditioning unit to take measurements for the A/C and heater hoses. Adding a bulkhead plate to the firewall to run the lines through. Cutting and crimping the lines to the correct length before installing them a long with the unit. Reinstalling the condenser and fan to the truck and fixing a mounting hiccup a long the way.

Mike, you should make a sheet metal tub for your plasma table. Fill it with water so your parts are cold after you cut them out and it helps with warpage too and cuts back on smoke as well. I have one on mine and i love it. Love the videos!

Yeah that's a good idea but sometimes it tempers the metal and then it cracks when you make a brake on it

My father was the sort of carpenter who would start with an empty lot and end with a finished house; doing everything from concrete slab to interior trim and cabinetry. I had long ago felt that sort of total grasp of all trades had vanished but Bello's has shown me that here is the sort of genius and mastery of craft and tools still lives and someone can start with nothing but finish with museum grade quality results. Rock on, Mike. Rock on. You are the man.

Many improvements in that truck since you started on it . That owner should carry an extra coil in that truck for when it fails far from home . Ask me how I know . has happened twice on two different cars they just aren't the quality they used to be from MSD they look good but have a problem with windings inside .
