1950s Liberty Trailer - from Goldfield, NV - Remodeled & Restored

3 years of work and it is rebuilt and ready to live in. This is the same trailer seen in this video: • 1950's LIBERTY Vintage...
It still needs a little work, but it mostly complete.
This is a detailed review of much of the work we did.

My parents had a trailer that was similar, it was round on the ends. We had it in northern Michigan. Can you believe 4 of us kids slept on the floor. We had great memories snowmobiling in winter, and hanging out in the summer.❤❤❤!!

Love that trailer. It looks a lot like the first one my husband and I rented when he was a Pvt in the Army and we had just gotten married.

My family lived in a similar trailer in about 62-63 in Kokomo, Indiana when my dad worked a year long temporary job. I don't really have memories but there are photos. I was 2-3.

I have a redone 1960 Kenskill 18 ft. Redone it's retired to my backyard as a pool house . We love her !

Beautiful work you did. Every thing is perfect. The kitchen cabinets polished up will look like new! I love these ol trailers the have charm!

I lived in a trailer very much like this. Believe it was all silver outside, the only windows that opened were the tiny ones near the roof, in the living room the windows were one one not 3, no windows in the doors. the kitchen was smaller and then a tiny room, a pocket door to the bathroom which was smaller, another pocket door to the bedroom. Loved that old trailer, especially all the woodwork, it was very comfortable.

Leave the wood! It’s adorable!! I love the kitchen! Don’t touch the bathroom!! That tile is worth so much money!! The price will depreciate if you redo that bathroom. It’s so darling!

My first home was a 1954 Liberty almost just like your's back in 1974. Mine was a little longer with a slanted window in the living room and a built in couch. Same in the bedroom except with a double bed. My kitchen had PINK counter tops and and built in 1/2 fridge with the pull lock handle. We didn't restore it at all, just cleaned it up and lived in it for years up in NH. Great little home. I love what you have done, especially the mirror back splash. I wallpapered mine with a vinyl paper. Yes, keep the bathroom green! 😍

❤ love this ! Great job ! I think it would of been nice to of put the frig up on a box type stand made of the same wood to bring it up to a more comfortable level to look inside of and easy to fill at a higher level.

Nice job! I really like how you modernized the mechanicals and interior while staying true to the classic style. BTW, "Vanishing Point" is one of my favorite movies, and as a result have always wanted to visit Goldfield.

Looks great takes me back to my youth my family grew up in one of these with the same floor plan mom and dad had a jackknife love seat in the front room and us kids 4 of us in short homemade bunks in the back room it was on a small plot of land stationary that my parents rented from elderly man

Love the red wood in mine ,would never paint the wood,mine was in great shape,they took it as trade in on new model mobile home,gave us a great trade in also.they had trailer sold before it left my lot also

so cool...I love all the original touches. would think about keeping the beautiful wood if at all possible. maybe new counter and backsplash would help update.

I did not source much of anything that was very specific. There were a few vintage trailer supply websites I used. Don’t remember them off hand. Would love to see pictures of yours!

It will need to be replaced soon. It is getting worse as it is used. But you can bet I’ll be doing my best to find the closest replacement to match it!

It will most likely remain on my property. I just moved out of it and into a larger manufactured home I pulled in. It will be guest quarters now 😊 That being said, if I was given an offer I couldn’t refuse 😅

Which one, the bathroom sink? I’ve since done some porcelain repair and scrubbed all the calcium out of it so it’s a little better. But if I came across one that’s the same, I’d gladly trade it out.

Those are super cool! But if I remember right, we didn’t like the layout of the interior of those so stuck with something that was the most functional.
