I'm always interested in stuff I can do to my farmall M "s I collected over the last 45 years. I like the fast hitch idea from a 560 . I've seen that idea before, maybe it was on a different one of your video's , but I remember it was with a 2 way valve. And on that valve had an extra port or something to allow 1 way to still ne used. Your lucky to have such a fine M, even doom pistons, the good type power steering.

It’s a pretty good tractor I actually traded it recently but I kept the fast hitch The fast hitch definitely needs some refinement

@@DrRust you traded it, well ok, now someone else has a "cool" late model M but with out the 2 point

It has live hydraulic now.

I really enjoyed seeing this sweet piece of history; I have a '47 myself. I may have missed you talking about your brakes but you have the regular band brake on the right and an after market Lambert disc brake on the left. I'd love to see her in action especially using the fast hitch. Thanks for sharing.

I never looked at the brakes closely I’ll take a look I’m glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching

How does your brakes work on this one? I have one with the 3 bolt disk on it like yours. Mine are worn out , and the replacement disk are over $100⁰⁰ each. So that's over $400⁰⁰ to redo them.

This one only had a disc on the left side for some reason and I didn’t notice it until after I sold it lol but both worked well you couldn’t tell a difference other than the band needed adjusting on the right side

I always said that ;looks don't get the job done. The Sea Bee Uncle said there were show horses and there were work horses. I'd take a work horse. Looks like you got a good one! BLESSINGS!

Definitely a work horse

You might need to shim the starter. Loosen the bolts a little and see if it turns over easier. My M gets stuck once in a while. Some thin washers between the starter and the mount might help.

I wish I thought of that

Very snappy throttle response ! Is it possible you were given a 12 V starter?
@DrRust Жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s 12v I gave them the part number

It actually belongs to someone else now so I don’t know what it’s current state is but it definitely needed a good bath and some preservation
