Come along as we check out our 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Coupe ICON Derelict! We originally finished this car in 2012, but didn't have time to make a video on it until it came back into the shop this past week!

I can't thank you enough for taking these older vehicles and making them all they can be. My wife and I wish that the manufacturers would make cars look like the older cars but with all the modern hardware. What you're doing is so precious. What is it that draws us to old iron? There's a feeling you get in an old car that you cannot get in something new. New is great, but old satisfies something inside us that I can't quite put my finger on. Of all the vehicles you've done there's not one that that I don't absolutely adore. Thank you again Jonathan and may you continue for many more years.

I loved this video. When I was 6, my father took me to a Chevy dealer to show me the new car he was buying for my mother. He let me pick the colors and I selected cream over dark blue, which wasn't available. But since the dealer was our neighbor and friend, he got it special ordered and we had it from 1952 until 1960. Loved seeing the 1952 Chevy again; in any color. I just regret I was never old enough to drive it.

I found a similar car in a heated garage in Brooklyn, NY a few years ago! Great story. I was honored to be part of pulling the car out and getting it back on the road. The car was parked for 30 + yrs and was a time capsule! It still had the bias tires and all I did was add air to them to get the car loaded on and off the trailer! Love these cars and what you are doing!

Auto double tap windows would be excellent. It adds to the exerpeince. Think you've just come off the highway and you want to open the windows for some fresh air. Bam they all go down. To anyone watching it would also just look amazing in a car like that and clue them into the fact that this is no ordinary chevy.

Another fantastic ICON derelict build. Great job!!! Two items I would add to your list. 1) Full LED lighting updates inside and out. 2) Update the tach clock face with proper tach numbering, use the second hand as the rpm indicator and the hour hand as an adjustable red line limit indicator.

My mom would go ape if I could find a 49 mercury coup. My dad had 1 as his race car. As luck would have it the only car on the property that would start was the Merc. He blew the doors off of a police car going through town to the hospital. But the officer was understanding he sat down in the waiting room with my dad and told him if it is a boy all is forgiven. If not I hope you have bail money in your pocket. LOL

I agree the steering wheel and the audio have got to go otherwise, perfect build as usual. Some suggested additions (since you asked): hydro-boost brakes, supercharger, update the headliner (I don't feel the headliner flows with the rest of the interior style), wider but still nicely tucked tires.

The 52 Chevy Deluxe was the best car my father ever owned.....bought it used from a widow who did not drive for $300. I would still have it today if it had not been totaled in a wreck my dad had in the mid 60's....The hood ornament went on our old 1950 Chevy pickup....when I gave the truck away to a friend, I kept the hood ornament.....may ind up on my 1976 Chevy POST yet.....

Hell son, it should simply have a tube AM and let the owner plug his smartphone into the speaker system. Brought back a lot of fond memories. This was one of the family cars my folks had when I was a kid in the 50's. No A/C though, but not really a downside. It made country drives a buffet of sounds, sights and smells, all that are lost to cocooned passengers of today - - - which, I guess, is why the dog and I ride around in the F150 with the windows down even in the Florida summer. Though most of your upgrades aren't to my taste you nonetheless did a fine job and I do rather envy your client's pockets. Still, I have the memories.

Best regards, Dr. Jonathan, allow me to congratulate you for such a beautiful job done and what I wanted was to give you and your company my opinion with great respect on the subject of patina, since being an old vehicle does not honor a better appearance as in its glory days or at least so that it does not attract the attention of thieves if it is to justify the patina of worn, old and rusty effect.

What about updating the seat-belts from a single lap belt to a shoulder harness (single or racing double)? I write this because I don't see a shoulder belt in the video though perhaps there is one that is not apparent. With over 5,000 emergency calls under my belt, I can assure you that when a face meets the steering wheel or the windshield it is not a pretty sight. Snapped necks are not uncommon.
