Wow really neat to see your car as I know the feeling first hand. In 2015 I took my 55 out of storage almost 35 years since 1981 and drove it legally again. It felt like I was going back in a Time Machine ,HAA! Anyhoo Congrads on your 55 Chevy First Drive! ......Take care..Glenn

It really was, yes the project ran long, had to slow down a few times with family stuff, but we finally got it out, and let me tell ya that little ride was worth all the hours of work! ✌️

That was so awesome BW, I am so happy for you, and just think how cool it will be when you dial everything in , maiden voyage’s are always a shake down, but I would say that was very successful, that freaking red light was the longest light I ever seen, lol, it never fails, well I can’t wait for the next ride, yeah baby 👍👍👍😀😀😀

I need sensors that work with my gauges, and need to get air out of the cooling system but overall it ran like a champ and it just wants to go, just touch the gas it squats and says let's go! Lol

Can somebody say, "TWO LANE BLACKTOP"!! Wow congratulations on the maiden voyage BW, it sounded awesome brother!! That'll get your batteries recharged and want you to really get fired up to finish it. You might pull the thermostat and just put it in some water and heat it up on the stove and watch and see at what temperature it starts to open. I hope you are running a 160 degree. Sounds awesome on those back roads and I'm sure it was very tempting to want to put your foot into it.. haha Thanks for taking us along, this video is going to take off..

Thanks Jim, the seats are very comfortable. Easy to drive as well, handles nice, I will make the change to a larger steering wheel at some point but in no hurry

Congrats, I'd call that a successful shakedown. These old cars drive like dump trucks but go like jack rabbits, it'll get easier and more intuitive the more you drive it.

HEY BW. It's great to see Sad News out stretching her legs. She was singing a sweet song. I knew you and your Buddy would be all ears trying to listen for weird noises. I know when Keith and I took Black Betty out for her first ride we were the same. But the first Beer run over to Quebec went without a hitch. We might take her out next week. I’d call that a big success. You should be proud of yourself, it’s been a long journey , but the outcome is awesome . I went from a 13 inch steering wheel to a 15 inch, it made a big difference with my power steering . Take care buddy, and Happy Easter to you and Kim .

Yes it does Brian. I would say total time, 2 years. I had to stop a few times and do family business. Alot of that stuff is behind us now. Looking forward to continuing to improve the 55 while starting the build on the 70 nova. And getting our new 1983 c30 puller up to snuff.

Hey BW so glad to see you got that bad ass 55 on the road I can't wait to see more of it . I'll be putting my 427 in my 88 g body SS the first week of June that's what I'll be doing for one of my weeks vacation this year I was looking for something else to put my motor and Trans it but I'm itching so when I do find a tri 5 a nova or 66 or 67 chevelle it will be a good excuse to build a 496 like I been wa ting ti do I already go a good set of heads a solid roller cam a few intakes and a brand new carb in a box so I got a pretty good start. Super 5-5 ! This car brings back a lot of memories. Late 60's, 3rd motor in my 55 210 2 door sedan was a 500+hp Corvette 331cisb. Car painted 69 Caddy Sapphire Mist blue. Best time in the quarter with 4.88's, Pontiac Muncie 4 speed, 11.96 at 114+mph. Sold the 5-5 in '70, BIG mistake, been sorry ever since.

The tach was a huge success. LoL. No big gulps but I think Phil grabbed smokes lol. I assume you mean extra shop top of hill by house. Half sells and installs tires the other half auto repair.

Stock crank, dome pistons, aluminum heads, roller cam and demon carb. It does have a nice tune. Thanks 👍
