Other local hotrodders and friends of mine called me up about this 55 Chevy Gasser they found and were going to buy. Andy had wanted another 55 for years and this one worked out perfectly. The car is really pretty solid and has a killer stance! A fresh 500 horsepower 383ci small block chevy with AFR aluminum heads. Richmond super T10 4 speed with a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter. 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.73 gears. The speedway straight axle front end is brand new and looks awesome! I will shoot some more footage of the car as they get it together and back on the streets.
I scored some cool vintage Keystone wheels. One set of Keystone Torque Thrust Style wheels that are killer! And thankfully he had the vent window for the drivers side of the 57 Chevy pick up we had been needing. And one awesome patina 57 Chevy car hood.

Sweet 55 and I like that Chevy ll. I have a couple model kits of a 64 and 65 Chevy ll. I made both into drag cars. I have enough models with some nasty big and small block engines to make some nasty hot rods lol. Too bad they aren't real tho lol. I like the Chevy ll that's parked outside. 62 to 65

35 years ago the hunt was exactly the same. The zombies was out looking for every Tri Five living a quiet life in some Garage. Lol. Great find. It will be a fun drive. Keep your ear to the ground Man. They still out there. . Check out Winged Anglers. He not far from you. Have a good week. Adios.

I think my dad grandfather would take that 35 years back even more but then that's getting back to win those tri-five renew if we go much farther back with them. It's amazing how Chevy could get so right for three years running and then come up with the 58 then the 59 and 60. I didn't say those cars weren't well like now. But back then they really paled in comparison to try fives right.

@@CAROLDDISCOVER-FINDER2525 yep totally agree. Ten years after they were made they were customised and raced. . Think the nomads were first. The 57 was actually the 58. It was a rush job. I owned a 57 convertible. Perfect body lines. The 35 years was in my life. But most cars in history. After ten years they finished. In style and mechanical reliability. And rust. Depending on were you live. It was the fiftys. Boom time. Think ford got hold of the raines in 59 onwards. And held them for a long time after. Have a good day. Keep digging them out. Adios.

I like those keystone rims. More I know where there's a 56 Gasser at. She's been stripped but it's a roller. A guy hit right behind where the door meets the quarter panel. It barely treat the roof where the post meets the roof. It is a two-door post. But before I go on with anymore about this car it is halfway across the country from you. If I did not have something else on the trailer at the time I would told you about the gas or that I had bought. It was nicely done. I think it has all the panels as far as the doors trunk lid and so forth and the glass was good except for the driver side where it got tagged. There was no engine in it I think the differential was still in it but the axles I know where. Seemed like he had some decent rubber on it. So if you're interested I can let you know more he wasn't asking a whole lot for it. He said he knew were there was no other parts car. I was holding out waiting for him to give me the information on the parts car but he never did. And the funny thing is until the tree fell across my 56 parts car I had the parts I needed to fix it. Matter fact I probably still do as far as a quarter goes. But I would just work with what's there. But honestly the old boy has it and me we would both prefer for it to be more stock or less radical as far as it being a gasser. Everything was there for the front axle. It has been now at the end of this summer three Summers since I've seen it. But I got the feeling that this stuff doesn't move very fast where it's located. And if I give it too much of a reason why as a people figure it out. I'd have to look up the contact information and I believe I got pictures of it I don't remember not taking pictures of it because it's just normal that I would have. And now I remember why I didn't buy it because I did not have a trailer with me my wife is driving a suburban and I was driving back what we had purchased. So even renting a U-Haul trailer I had no way of pulling it because my wife was not going to drive back our new purchase and she definitely wasn't going to trailer something.

Sounds like a cool car with potential but to be honest with you I’m not a 56 Chevy fan. It’s still cooler than anything built today, but not something I pursue. That 4 door I bought because I wanted to save it and he made me a better deal if I bought it along with my 57.

Thank you. Still have it in the shop just haven’t had time to get back on it. I’m trying to get out of doing the stuff on the side and just work on our cars. But that also comes with prioritizing what can be put back on the road the quickest. It’ll be back on the channel but it’ll probably be later this year
