I think this might be my favorite edition of any Les Paul ever. The Alnico staple with the P90 sounds unique and really give the guitar a killer look. Just straight black with the binding and inlays setting it off. classy, raucous...play it in a tux or at the biker bar.

Great sounding guitar. Especially that second tone setup. I was amazed at the amount of bass response from the bridge pickup.

I don't think a more beautiful guitar has ever been made. Those tones are insane, during that Mercy riff the notes both blend together and yet have definition, when both pickups are blended you get this thundering ultra-present bass drone while still maintaining precision on that articulate Jansch/Page type melody on the high strings. Most guitars just seem to flub out if you try and pack all that in one riff, awesome playing and tone!

Now that IS a beautiful machine! Nice demo, as always, Joel. It sounded like the middle position was still in phase given the sound of the hum, but I could be wrong. Very unique sounding Paul, either way.

I love these P90 + B5 Customs. It is one if my dream guitars. I like humbuckers fine, but I wish they were clearer, and I like single coils fine, but I wish they were fatter. P90s always deliver that fine balance!

@@gabrielm.4554 It's funny that fact is lost on many. Seth Lover wanted to make a noiseless P90 and he strived to keep the sound of the P90 thus the PAF Humbucker were born.

I know that this comment is 10 months old, but I just want to give you a heads up incase you're looking for a reissue of these. Gibson just did a limited run of these. Well, actually, they were '55 reissues, but I'm not sure how the spec would differ between 55 and 56. I know wildwood had one or two. Perhaps CME did too. Some stores here in Japan got some in too. Happy to say that I bought one yesterday. Gibson only do runs of these every few years because of problems producing the staple pickups... Even though Seymour Duncan and the likes can make their own versions... I don't know what problems Gibson have, but it's enough to limit their production of the staple pickups.

....wie heisst er ... der Mann an der Gitarre ....hab ihn schon ewig lange nicht mehr gesehen ...aber Ich habe ihn gleicht wieder erkannt ...er hat etwas zugelegt ...wie wir alle wahrscheinlich....gewichtsmässig .. aber Was er wieder für eine Gitarre spielt ...amazing... Strongholle Not sure what they asked for this one, but usually between 20-25,000. Very rare to find one in this condition. A piece of chicken wire nailed to a broomstick would sound good through that Skyking though lol
