What I love about Jim is he uses treble! So many guys any more run the muddiest flat lifeless tone! It IS an ELECTRIC guitar! Now I play Fenders, Gibsons and PRS’s and I do not want ice picky nasally tone but some high end is what distinguishes a Tele from a Strat, a 335 or a Paul in the mix. Jim is a great player and knows how to set an amp. GREAT guitar!

Very good player plus he has real understanding of using tone & volume pots to get great sound/tone using all pickup combinations. excellent review/demo IMO

Very nice jazzy play and tone at start, then very rocky at end, such versatile guitar, seems very responsive to the attack of strings. The Deluxe Reverb helps a lot to make this guitar shining. Of course with a great and subtle player 👍

Apparently more people (website mylespaul) are guessing what it means, nobody knows but I think the best guess is that probably the finish is a bit more intense since 2018. So maybe they do an extra layer and a hint of black. I think this is a knockout beautiful guitar. But the term Double gold made me think of a guitar that would be gold on front and back. But that is maybe a bit too 'glam'-rock and decadent. Again I like this guitar....would like to have one...on the sound allone. I wish i could afford a real '55 that Dave Gilmour used on another brick on the wall....that sound man....Its so wonderfull. .....

i want this humbuckig guiat! . . but 1957 there were only p90s on rhe goldtop versions! . . without rhat awful! trapeze withou palmuting😡 . . for putting thru this stress (i have kidney illness stafe 3 😪 . . you guys can send me 2019 plain standard with bing just on the neck! . . the 1957 black beauty had pafs! . . i think🤣
