Taylor finally gets to spend some more time on Clementine, the 1957 Oval window Beetle that was condemned as a parts car. This time, a transmission is installed and more hand paintwork is done. Plus, an interesting new customer car arrives....

I feel your pain watching this. lol. A couple months ago I had to a swing axle R&R by myself. pain in the butt. A IRS is a lot easier. I will be doing it again on a 62 I just got from Jason today.

make me want to start working on my oval which has it's transmission, and I have a split case trans laying in the driveway. Are they hard to find ? What should I do with the one in the driveway ? IDK, it simply can be overwhelming. I was goign to say 38 Dodge. Ok, 36, very cool. Oldest for me is 53 Packard.

Nothing is mechanically wrong with the transmission I took out of the car. It’s a later style full syncro box, I wanted the period correct splitcase non-syncro gearbox.
