Classic Car Commercials let's take a trip down memory lane...A Classic Car is an older car, typically 25 years or older, though definitions vary. The common theme is of an older car of historical interest to be collectible and tend to be restored rather than scrapped. Classic cars are a subset of a broader category of "collector cars" (which includes both restored classic cars vehicles and newer exotic vehicles). A subset of what is considered classic cars are known as antique cars (manufactured before 1980) or vintage cars (manufactured pre-World War II. This is Vol 1 hope you enjoy..

Back in the 70's, car ads were done with the windows DOWN. Now, you never see a car commercial with the window DOWN. They are always UP.

I'd choose the the 1970 Lincoln. My God, America was so optimistic and confident at that time. That land yacht was the epitome of proud Americana, and the Continental at its sharpest and most stylish, (1969 up until 1972). How good would you have felt buying that and riding around in world class luxury and style? Top of the world!

@ITILII That’s very interesting. I confess I’ve never owned either, but always considered the Lincoln sharper in styling and purer in the essence of Americana. Was the Cadillac a better experience in comfort and luxury, or do you mean to your aesthetic taste more representative of America at its peak. Whilst on the subject, were Chrysler Imperials below this standard? Why were they never as popular? I’m a Brit btw, who grew up in this era and always thought America’s land yachts and station wagons were, for that time, the the best looking cars in the world.

@@nigelpickering5433 I've had several Lincolns, Cadillacs, Mercedes, BMWs and a couple XJ6s and I can say without a doubt European cars don't hold a candle to American luxury cars, for American roads. If you consider that American highways are straight, wide and boring, nothing handles them like a Cadillac or Lincoln. My preference is Lincoln Towncars from 1990 through the 2010's but they are all pretty good. I'm not knocking Euro cars, I love my S600 but it's a little too sporty for a 3000 mile trip compared to my Towncar.

My friend in school had one of those 4 cylinder Mustangs, I have to say it WAS reliable and economical!! He had it for well over 10 years.

Love this.❤️ Loved these old cars and commercials, well some of them lol. I loved muscle cars.❤️❤️ My Dad unfortunately bought a Pinto station wagon and my sister had a Gremlin. I had a sharp red 71 Nova for my first car. It was a hot and great little car. Thanks for sharing this.❤️❤️❤️

Love the 1971 Chevy truck at 5:05. Not butchered or restomodded like most are now but just a cherry stock truck. By 1971, not all pickups were utilitarian anymore. The '74 Mustang II was a let down from earlier models and the back seat had little room for anyone over 5 foot 6"

Enjoyed the camaro commercials I had several camaros from first generation, second generation, and third generation Didn't know on some of third generation on some models they offered pull out controls on dash , pull out tilt radio, never had seen those Interesting

I would drive one they were good little cars .... most don't know but the 2.3 L 4 cylinder in the Later year rangers up to 2002 were based off the Pinto engine it was a damn good engine!!

The message they were giving in that ad is actually quite pathetic, "Well, our car is almost as good as someone else's". They should be selling it as a stand-alone product, not in the shadow of something else.

Ford Mustang horse was designed and sculpted by Bill Swan at international fiberglass.Ford paid him 100 for horse which is what the emblem was copied from and the man who copied the emblem also worked at Ford so he took full credit but I'm willing to bet if research the story will be conflicting all Bill got was A Thank you card from Edsel

The 2nd and 3rd generation Camaros and Firebirds are great driving and great looking cars. Mustang 2nd and 3rd generation were total disasters. Nobody considers the Mustang II a classic but the 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros and Firebirds go for big bucks and still exist. Try and find a Mustang II or anyone who cares
