We Started a 70 years Old Scooter motorcycle " 1962 Italian Piaggio Vespa Scooter " Restoration. We Chose Classic Sky Blue color for this Vespa and I was fully Confident for the final results because we really did every job with deep of our heart. With Chrome and black touches, Classic Sky Blue color is looking very enchanting. I also want to tell you that I'm Really very thankful for every single supporter of us. Excellent result I hear ppl saying original paint the rust adds character and all that jazz and I agree sometimes but at the same time it's more important to fully restore theses machines and thus protecting them rather than letting the elements destroy them. Well done.

Nice work. I had a Vespa in 1961, it was a 125cc. Later I had a chance to acquire a 150cc engine off a wrecked/totaled Vespa and I jumped on it. The only mistake I made was when painting, I was looking for Candy Apple Red, and being the young 'smart person' I ignored the paint man's suggestion to put on a Gold basecoat then Purple that you could see through, the combo makes Candy Apple Red. Well I outsmarted myself and told the guy to mix me a Red instead of Purple and the end result turned out ORANGE. It was pretty but not at all what I wanted. I rode that Vespa for 7 years and loved it. I later had trouble with the clutch and took it apart to repair and noticed the woodruff key had wallowed out the slot in the crankshaft...While I was waiting for a new part the Vespa was stolen, I never saw it again...I told the dealer and didn't have to pay for the crankshaft but I often wondered what happened to it, it was my Baby!
