The craftsmanship is simply amazing. The fact it is truly handbuilt and amount of time to construct each is jawdropping. Some consider this folly, but it gives work to old craftsman and incentive to continue this work, while also creating additional stock of parts. Wow, what a car! I remember the movie "Goldfinger" so well even though I saw it for the first time when it was just released at a theater in 1965. (If you're wondering HOW that long ago, I just turned 69!) I was just a kid but it made an impression on me. I've seen bits and pieces of it since played on TV. Incidentally, I caught the right headlight assembly on what is probably a '58-60 Imperial in the right background at about 1:32 to 1:35. My uncle had a bright new '57 . One can tell the '57's b/c it was the last year in which automakers used a single headlight on each side. He had a '57. I almost ran down the battery playing with the electric windows! I was fascinated with electric windows. We have home movies of the car when my aunt and uncle were driving up to my grandmother's house. My uncle Johnny was so proud of that car.

@@hagestad in Goldfinger Fleming describes the car thus "The car was from the pool. Bond had been offered the Aston Martin or a Jaguar 3.4. He had taken the DB III. Either of the cars would have suited his cover - well-to-do, rather adventurous young man with a taste for the good, fast things of life. But the DB III had the advantage of an up-to-date triptyque, an inconspicuous colour - battleship grey - and certain extras which might or might not come in handy. These included switches to alter the type and colour of Bond's front and rear lights if he was following or being followed at night, reinforced steel bumpers, fore and aft, in case he needed to ram, a long-barreled Colt .45 in a trick compartment under the driver's seat, a radio pick-up tuned to receive an apparatus called the Homer, and plenty of concealed space that would fox most Customs men."[1]

All of the most beautiful cars ever made were designed/built by the Italians. Carrozzeria Touring did a spectacular job on this one.

Well done Aston! I love how they are keeping the skills and supply chains alive to be able to make something like this. A true piece of art!! Price is irrelevant as I couldn’t afford it even if it were 5,000. Instead I can simply admire 🤩

The attention to detail is exquisite, even the panel gaps and shut lines are perfect, the originals never were. Authentic rocker switches and piano hinge on the arm rest, just like the original, just incredible ! 👍👍👏👏

How cool is this. I had a 1/64 version of this car when I was a kid. Pretty sure I wore the tires out playing with it. I remember it had the bullet shield in the back, not sure what else it had. Loved that car and love this one. Too cool. 👍👍
