It's actually kind of fun to see how Q's changed over the years. In the early years he was so serious but by the end, he and Bond were joking and having a good time when they were together (even if they would annoy each other sometimes). It's nice to look back on a happier time and see just how much work was put into this franchise.

@kavinskysmith4094
@kavinskysmith4094 3 жыл бұрын
You actually see it in the film, namely when he runs the guard shack and the grandma comes out with the MP40, she machine guns the front window and damages it pretty badly, and naturally as your not going to be driving out of the rear when your driving forward, or you need to back up without giving them a clear shot, it saves the rear window and prevents it from being badly damaged or broken as you do so like it was in that scene. granted your statement is an understandable one given the poor choice of words there, as it really should have been bullet resistant, not bullet proof in the script, as back then the way they did bullet proofing was basically just to put some really thick multi layered glass and then fill the car body with concrete, which under sustained fire like that probably isnt really that accurate to describe as bullet proof either. but given guy hamilton's son was the one who came up with a good portion of the gadgets, including the very unsafe and very inaccurate to use machine guns, I think its best not to really think about it too hard lol

WRONG Inside Bond movies documentary The original James Bond movies actor is CARY GRANT. He was the main candidate for James Bond in Dr No. Grant was an old FRIEND of Albert R Broccoli and attended his wedding.The best man. Roger Moore was also thought of as a BOND in Dr No. They could NOT spend almost all the money to buy Roger Moore free from the TV contract. By then there had been no Bond films. Then they waited and checked if Moore was available several times. 1961 1964 1967 1968 and 1972 when he got the role of BOND for the second time. Only debuted in the movies. Not like BOND 007. That's one of the few more reasons why Moore first played James Bond 007 in Mainly Millicent on television in 1964. Moore is an old FRIEND of Christopher Lee. Lee and Ian Fleming are in the same family. That's one of the few more reasons why ALBERT R BROCCOLI was an actor in his Bond films. The Spy who love me and Moonraker IMDB AND Wikipedia. Ian Flemings Bond movies actor: David Niven Fleming would probably accept Roger Moore as James Bond in Dr No. NEVER Sean Connery. That's one of the few more reasons why BOB SIMMON's STUNTMAN played Bond first in Dr No. Gunbarriel sequence HISTORY. Albert Broccoli and Harry Saltzman could only CONTINUE with BOB SIMMONS STUNTMAN as BOND in Dr No-Goldfinger. Wreck Connery as BOND in Dr No. . The way to say the name borrowed from The Saint films from 1939/1940. (My name is Templar Simon Templar / Templar Simon Templar) The Saint in London the Saints VICATION Connery debuted in Dr No in Casino. 7 minutes after Bob Simmons stuntman. Not in GUNBARRIEL SEQUENCE as MANY people think. Connery got the role of BOND in Dr No because of Darby O'gill and the little people and that CARY GRANT ROGER MOORE AND DAVID NIVEN can not. Connery is DANA BROCCOLIS BOND ACTOR. Dr No Director Youngs James Bond movies actor Richard Johnson The real Sean Connery's Bond movies are from Thunderball you only live twice Diamond are forever and Never say never again. There, Connery does the same as Bob Simmons' stuntman in the first 3 Eon Productions Bond films. Dr No From Russia with love and Goldfinger. Gunbarriel sequence HISTORY.

Yes, the DB5 has it's registrations from various countries but the steering wheel is on the other side and it is revealing everthing at once. You could just paint it in Union Jacks like Austin Powers' car. It's like the car was having a monocle, a bowler hat, was sipping from a bowl and saying "Ah, my dear chap, such a lovely weather for a cup of 5 o'clock tea with a sip of milk. It is indeed splendid."

I saw one of the Goldfinger Aston Martins at the '64-'65 World's Fair in Flushing, NY. It was beautiful! They had the bulletproof screen up and showed us how the machine guns extended and retracted and how the number plates flipped. For all the other gadgets (such as the tire slashers), the sexy woman who was demonstrating the car told us they couldn't show them since the gadgets needed a certain amount of hydraulic pressure to operate and the ejector seat needed a 40 foot clearance which would have hit the roof of the building. Of course all that was BS but we all loved it anyway.

The Aston inspired me in my 2nd yr college engineering class to fabricate a double license plate (three was too difficult) as a final project using sheet metal, springs, and a bicycle cable feeding to a knob under the dashboard. The fake plate would hinge under the bumper and flip up over the real plate. I planned to use it to bypass parking meters, collect all the tickets I wanted and just keep swapping the fake numbered plate. I was shocked when my two professors thought it was a marvelous idea.

A few years ago I was lucky enough to race a DB5 around Mallory Park for a few laps as part of a track day. Exiting Gerard's my instructor mumbled something about "outside" - so naturally I quickly pulled to the outside of the bend. Turns out that what he actually said was "mind the D-Type on the outside" - in reference to the Jaguar D-Type that was overtaking 100mph faster around the outside of the bend. My first introduction to "accelerated learning".

A few years ago, there was a series of classic films shown at cinemas, they chose Goldfinger as the "thriller" in the series. It's so much better than on tv/dvd to see it in the cinema, it's the sound in a large auditorium rather than just the visuals although you can't beat that either. Unfortunately we are being mostly denied of the cinematic experience in the pandemic😷
