I can only imagine what this amp sounds like in the room. I can only imagine trying to fit this thing in my Mustang! I really enjoy this series, but honestly, I'll watch anything John Bohlinger puts out. Super informative, super chill, and super cool. Times like these, it's honestly comforting to avoid the news and listen to John talk about vintage Fender amps.

Have to say, 335 & Amp is a great LOOK & a great SOUND. You're ready for a weekly gig at an old Blues Bar somewhere. if there's any left. Geeez.

Sad to see the grill cloth in such, stained?, condition.. I love this era Fender amps. I have my Vibrolux Reverb blackface and would never trade or sell. If I had the chance, I would absolutely add a ProReverb.. and fit it with vintage JBL. No 335 here, but rather a 1966 Guild Starfire V.. Tasty chops, tells the story of this Pro... Nice amp, nice tone, nice everything... Love these oldies!!!

I always thought John lived in an upscale Condo high rise where if you make any noise the security guards come a knocking and you put the headphones on and down a pint of whiskey howl ..... I'm sure John is an Ancient Aliens Lover

4 take-aways: - Nice that you use a vintage Twin as a 'stand' - I've really gotta work on behind the nut bending - I've already re-set the tone settings on my Miller Ampwerks '63 Vibroverb/Deluxe-inspired amp.. you know I LOVE my Alnicos... can't wait for the quarantine-ville after-dinner solo jam (queue the drum machine). - Is there *any* style you CAN'T play? Thanks, John Bohlinger.

Hey! My favourite workhorse amp is a '64 Pro... although mine comes with an asterix as it was "boogie'd" by a previous owner sometime in the mid 70's, with way more gain and sports a quartet of 6L6 's for 100 watts. I hardly ever use the high gain channel, and my dream is to restore it one day

I mean, I love vintage gear, but it always makes me totally appreciate how far even tube amps have come, in terms of tone and variety today, and how much better new, quality gear is in general. I can get "vintage tone" without "vintage noise" these days without having to go broke buying old finicky stuff. It might sound insane, but I'd trade that 55 strat for a mint mystic black Strat Plus Deluxe in a heartbeat, as far as 20th C guitars go. When I was a kid, I did think different, though. Art and technology go hand-in-hand I do like the whole "museum vibe" I get from these vids.

You're right you are insane. My old amps are so high quality and quiet. If it wasn't for the lit jewel light you couldn't tell they were on. My old Vibrolux and AC15 are magic. Tried so many new boutiques and they just don't hold up. Everyone I have play them is always amazed. Find a good tech and keep them well tuned and they are gonna out live me.

@@thesimulations8900 amen. I own many modern amps and many vintage amps. The old ones just have something extra. But, you can't convince some people.

I picked this post to comment on because it seems to be your most recent video. You are the best personality in the Premier Guitar world (or any other music world for that matter) and I will miss your uplifting presence. I have unsubscribed from everything "Premier Guitar" due to Shawn Hammond's pu**y editorial this week about how "we" owe something to the "black community". I won't go any further with this because I have responded directly to his post and the magazine's website. My posts may or may not be removed due to the communist style of censorship being promoted these days. I'm sorry to say I won't be contributing any further to the Premier Guitar ethos by supporting these videos. I've had enough of this liberal "degenerousy". No more likes from me and unsubscribed. Thanks for everything you have given us up to now. TW
