This beautiful & nicely done Fairlane is a tribute to the Thunderbolt drag racing cars of the early 60. I take it for a drive & it was a blast & a real attention getter

I'm constantly watching car videos 'and this one really stands out 'I love 64 fairlane's and Thunderbolt's ' particularly the sport 's coupe version ' and this one with the black paint ' the Hurst signage ' the Radir's ' just fabulous . However I'm pretty sure all real Thunderbolt's were 2 door posts 'right?

@@bobsclassiccarsparts8772 glad it did and I enjoyed it. Those after market stock replacement shifters for a top loader is a tight pattern for the top loader to get them to shift like a new mustang. Plus if it is new freshened up you have to be on the money with the RPM drop and the placement of it or you will go to the wall every time. Some people love them others leave the stock one in it.

Well I will pass it along as always, you are the best. Your going to have a great day and awesome weekend. We have a guy named Collismo Auto in Evans City and he has a same set up for about 32k and he took 4 of us for a ride about 2 weeks ago and it run just like that one. Had all the interior and was caged for strip races and the way it was done looked like it come that way. No fiberglass bumpers just the hood.

Mine's black (red interior), and has a 429 in it. :) I sure do wish I had that Windsor in it instead....

It’s stroked to 427 & runs on race fuel. You got a good one 👍

Any of the modern Doug's headers I have seen, have a tag welded to the front pipe on the driver's side header

That was the NHRA owner until the dual Quad Hemi came out or was it the Max Wedge? I believe that it was the Max Wedge first then the Hemi. Does it have a Hemi in it.

That's not even close to a Thunderbolt. There were no 2 door hardtop Thunderbolts. They were 2 door sedans.

@@daryllect6659 Who cares if they’re fake. So what. A clone the builder tries to replicate the original car as much as possible. A tribute can simply be a paint job or cosmetically resemble a car to honor it. Such as parade cars etc. all those black Monte Carlos & Luminas with a #3 on the door & GM Goodwrench lettering that showed up at car shows all across the country…..just tribute cars. That’s all they were. To honor Dale Earnhardt. When the show was over they drove them home & parked then in their driveway. Just tribute cars. Been around for decades. Nothing new. Of course they’re fake. Everyone knows that. Part of the hobby.
