Mine was extremely reliable. It had a replacement six cylinder Volvo engine of course. My wife sold it twenty years ago for 300 dollars.

This is definitely a head turner. Hope it has aircon and power steering to make it driver friendly. Rear wiper is a spoiler.

Dash and bonnet view is important! They had more power with the Lucas injection I think, but harder to service.

More performance but not much more torque the 3.500 carburetor was about 215 hp on the brake and the injection 235 hp on 200 rpm higher revs. Very intense in maintenance as it is a mechanical system that has to be adjusted at several points from time to time…

Man what a stunning car. The rear three-quarter treatment has a strong resemblance to a Triumph TR-4, Giovanni Michelotti the designer of the Triumph must have been inspired by the Vignale 3500 GT...?

I wish he'd keep his eyes on the road. Careless driving in a 3500 Sebring is really unforgiveable.

I know cars in 65 didnt have headrests for safety, but it looks odd to see one on the passenger seat only. It must have been considered a comfort item.

It was for looks too. Sir William Lyon’s didn’t like anything to appear above the glasshouse lower line in his Jaguars.

The head rest was always an extra also at medium luxury like Mercedes e.g the W108 S-classes between 1965 and 1971 didn’t have stock headrests each headrest had to be paid single with 100 DM or 25. 30 dollars extra. So you find European versions that look naked like you never find in American versions.
