Millennial Here. These are the only commercials I don’t like to skip. 😂 These are all calming to watch.

I was born in 1952, I was 13 when these commercials were shown. I remember most of them and the jingles we (my generation) never forget! Thanks for posting this.

I was born in Dec of 1965. Sadly my dad passed away 2 months & 2 days before my 3rd birthday and my mom passed 1 month 1 day before my 9th birthday after being increasingly sick for at least 4 years. I was born late into my family, my sister was 17 years older than me and my brother 10 years older. I don't know a whole lot about my family, but it's been not only great & fun watching commercials my parents watched, but soothing. I imagine my mom and dad sitting down after dinner watching TV & my mom putting her feet up especially as it got closer to my birth, seeing these commercials and talking about the products, thank you.

These commercials sure evoke memories of a more laid back time. I know the kids my age miss that too. Life was so much more simple. My brother had a paper route and bought the Polaroid Swinger. It was really 'high tech' for the time and awe inspiring. Thank you FredFlix for taking us back to the days of our childhood.

I was 15 in 1965. When the commercial came on with the grimy guy testing the firearm with grease all over his hands, immediately I yelled out “Lava soap”! Ha ha! I’d forgotten about it, but we ALWAYS had a bar of Lava by our kitchen sink. Very enjoyable video, Fred. Thanks!

I was 7 in 1965. I remember most of these commercials! My older sisters sewed clothes for me and my Barbie, and I remember the Simplicity commercial. I remember the Oscar Meyer wiener commercials, and they tasted better back then! The Coke commercial song I recognized immediately! My mother had a gas stove that leaked after she cleaned it. She would tell us all to go outside and Public Service fixed it. I was terrified that the house was going to blow up. I never had a gas stove until my husband, who enjoys cooking, bought one a few years ago. I told him that I wasn’t going to touch it, and I still haven’t. I hate them!😂

Was 9 yrs old in 1965 and remember almost all of these commercials! The one for Oscar Mayer I always thought was so funny back then when the kid sang "If I were a Oscar Meyer weiner their would soon be nothing left of me!". Great memories. Thanks Fred.

I'm only 61, so these quaint television commercials were eons before-- JUST KIDDING, I was around for all of 'em! I want a Westinghouse portable TV, a Marlin and an extra carton of Coke! Thanks Fred you're the man! 👍👍👍🙂♥️♥️🙂

Ah, the lovely Donna Loren in that Simplicity ad...one of my first ever crushes, although I remember her mainly from her Dr. Pepper commercials and her appearances on Where the Action Is. And she dances "The Freddy" in this one, but don't hold that against her...She's still with us, and still a lovely lady.

After my older sister started an after-school job, she saved up and got a Polaroid Swinger. And she took it with her whenever she went out with her friends, just like in the commercial. I liked the music from a lot of commercials like "Let Hertz put you in the driver's seat" and the Marlboro commercials. If only I can turn on the TV and get only shows and commercials from the late 50s and all of the 60s. Thanks for another trip back to my childhood!

The Swinger got me, the incredible Polaroid Swinger for 1995 (wait not the year-but price $19.95). That would be close to $200 nowadays. Ali McGraw doing commercials in 1965! This was the beginning of her acting career. She would have been around 26 years old at the time.

I was 19 in 1965. It was an exciting time. I moved to L.A. , started a career, and then got drafted. I loved how the girls dressed and looked back then. They ACTUALLY wore dresses and skirts ! Today, they dress like they're either going to Disneyland or to work as a Pole Dancer. Everything was ours . Our generation controlled everything, the music, the movies, the cars and the style of clothes. I've owned the Double Breasted, the NERU, the turtleneck, the Ascot ! By the way, I had a REAL CRUSH on Donna Lauren ! What a DOLL ! 👍💙

I was only 8 back in 1965. Commercials back then were not only short and to the point, but they also showed you the features and benefits of these products as well. Nowadays, these TV commercials are both dumb and stupid.

Yes!....I remember all of these commercials! I remember when my uncle bought a Polaroid Swinger, he was 18 at the time and got his first job right out of HS. He was taking pictures of everything until the novelty wore off.

My sister and I with many other classmates were in a Camero commercial in 1965. It was in a Chinatown school in San Francisco. The commercial play during Bewitch and Bonanza. I wish we could find it. The money paid for a washing machine. We were so grateful. It was hard washing clothes for 8 by hand.

I'm still amazed at this Poloroid Swinger commercial. After so many years of watching your other video, I got to recognize an old Poloroid Swinger that my mom's older brother owned, along with other old Poloroid and Kodak cameras (the Instamatic sans the cube) like the ones that look like an accordion (I don't know the exact model name). My grandmother must have spoiled my mom's older brother by buying those cameras.

The Peral shampoo showed a pearl slowly dropping down the bottle. I cut my mom Pearl necklace and I got in trouble.Tang was for the water from the fuel cells to give taste.

Splendid. In the Galaxy commercial, the cigarettes are put in a small silver holder. I have one of those and I always wondered what it was for. Now I know.

In 1965 I was 4. But it takes me back. I can still remember some of it and I wish I could remember the lady in the floor wax commercial. She went on to be a pretty good character actor.

Remember a commercial for Camel cigarettes. They actor said “taste good and are good for you.” I was born in 1951 and remember so many of these.

Pretty cool stuff here. I remember a lot of them. I am almost 67 so I was around for all that. But I do not for the life of me remember that TV set commercial and that style of set. Almost looks contemporary in a way. Thanks - always a pleasure seeing your stuff.

Polaroids were great my dad had one it might be the best most popular invention of the 1960s it was that advanced truly a breakthrough product.

Its also kinda funny that I sat here and watched 15 minutes worth of TV commercials, but when I watch TV tonight, I'll either fast-forward or mute them all.

Ah, the '60s, when smokes that sounded like they contained ground up charcoal bricks, we're glamorized, and AMC produced some weird looking thing called the Marlin 🤔. I was born in '65 but if I would have been old enough to drive, I would have definitely wanted one of those Mustangs, at least until the '66 GTO came out! I grew up in Florida so we only got orange juice, usually fresh squeezed, Tang wasn't an option. WOW 🤩, I really dig that Coca-Cola beach commercial!😍 Cool video Fred!😎

I too was 9 years old in 1965. Kinda pathetic but I remembered every word of the Polaroid Swinger commercial! The Ford Mustang was proof that looks are dang near everything since it was basically just a Falcon with different sheet metal. I wonder too how many people were motivated to buy a Rambler Marlin after seeing that goofy commercial 😃

I showed my grandparents that I am subscribed to this channel they were 74 in June and July this year, and they remember the Coke and the and the mustang and the the gum. I asked them what's beach in a company says a brand that's not a type. I've never seen Beach tonight I don't know, but this is fantastic. You do a masterful job with these commercials, please keep uploading them, it must be a labor of love for you I certainly love it I was 26th in July and I showed my parents my parents don't remember cuz they were born in 74 but, but my grandparents doing they're getting a real charge out of this it's fascinating to them to see those commercials again. Still remember the Polaroid Swinger commercial from back when these commercials first ran. Even as a kid it shocked me that they'd actually put the price of something in the jingle; what if some place wanted to put it on sale?

Thanks for the memories. I never heard of the Rambler Marlin. Even I could see that it's design is based on the Tucker. THAT was a car. I have a scale model of one and I saw a full size Tucker in the Smithsonian Institution. Just an incredible looking, ahead-of-its-time automobile.

Thank you Fred I was born in 1960 I remember these commercials… when my mom watched soap operas and game shows before I went to kindergarten and after when she would pick me up at 12. Mom had the tv on from 7am to 11:30 at night always unplugged it!🤪Not sure if that helped Then we would wonder why the tube blew out during the summer 😅thanks for these sweet memories ❤

Meet the swinger 🎵 echoes in my mind for 60 years

1:10 I remember those Polaroid backing strips used to be all over the place after a graduation, or even sometimes at a wedding. People would just toss them on the ground until the SX-70 came out in 1975 with the rollers that pulled the photo away from the backing before it left the cartridge, so all the backings ended up getting thrown away with the empty cartridge. Of course, if you were a real slob, there was always the option of tossing the cartridge on the ground.

The Marlin commercial @ 7:00 was voiced by Mr. I. Magination himself, Paul Tripp, a local kiddie show host here in New York…perhaps best remembered as the star of the holiday movie, The Christmas That Almost Wasn’t….Anyway, this Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for FredFlix…

it would be great to watch a whole segment of old broadcasting, say like two straight hours of TV of a given day of 1965. Just as it was broadcasted, with the show cut down, only commercials and bumpers

Watching this is so relaxing. I was 12-13 in 1965. I still have my Polaroid Swinger that I got for Christmas. I have been so upset by all the turmoil in the news- and this is really a respite.

I bought a Polaroid Swinger camera back in '65 or '66. I loved it, although the photos sometimes had problems. Plus, you had to use a stinky costing solution on the prints afterwards and it was hard to get a smooth finish. I still have a few of those photos. Wallet-sized. Fairly decent image quality. I also liked the jingle "Meet the Swinger". The arrangement style reminds me of the early Up With People songs, which I performed with (on electric guitar) in freshman year in high school, 68-69. Those were great years.

Good Lord, I could sing along with the Polaroid Swinger jingle- "...it's more than a camera, it's almost alive. It's only nineteen dollars and ninety five..." That is so wierd. 😆

My wife and I are really enjoying these videos! Not only because they are highly entertaining (and we watch them for hours!), but, as buyers and sellers of used goods, you are also helping us as we research products that we sometimes get in our yard sale finds. For example, we have a few older Polaroid Land Cameras - and seeing one of the clips in this particular video would help us date one (if it were, in fact, the "Color Pack"). So, your channel is a truly valuable resource for us, and we thank you for providing this footage! We find old 8mm, 16mm, and home-video VHS footage on occasion, and are always curious as to what is on them! We have subscribed. Thanks again!

Born the very end of that year. I wish pop was still only in glass bottles instead of plastic. I remember helping my mom bring the cartons filled with empty glass bottles back to the grocery store for recycling. We all recycled long before it was political to do so.
