Just awesomely beautiful my favorite year 66, the color is great and white interior there is nothing better, when a see a convertible with black interior it is the worst thing to sit on when the sun is shining, it is so hot you burn!

Very well filmed. I used to own a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, which I believe shared the same engine and drivetrain with this car. Powerful beast.

Tom Vyse Your Toronado shared the drivetrain with the 1967 Eldorado. This '66 car was the last one to use the rear drive configuration. Trust me, the '67 is closer to your Toronado.

In 1966 the front wheel drive powertrain was exclusive to the Toronado. The next year Eldorado was also switched to FWD using the same transaxle, but mated to the Cadillac 429 cu in engine instead of the Oldsmobile 425 cu in engine used in the Toronado.

Those '63 hubcaps don't look half bad on that car

Excellent presentation I like the fact it has a glass rear window, as us Cadillac devotees kwow. Some came plastic but I have a question. What color does this one show?

What was the difference between a Coupe DeVille convertible and an ElDorado convertible in mid-60 Caddys?
@viciouspoodle55439 ай бұрын
Hi! They were identical cars except for exterior and interior trim differences. For '65 and '66 the Eldorado has rocker panel chrome and real wood in the interior. The DeVille did not; however the DeVille had GORGEOUS thick chrome molding on the door belt line and B pillar. If I owned this car, I would transplant that chrome molding from the DeVille to it. You would think the more expensive Eldorado would have had that rather than the DeVille.

What was better the 66 Eldorado convertible or the 66 De Ville convertible?
@robert33025 жыл бұрын
The Eldorado was the premier model. It had extra features, like the power vent windows and standard leather upholstery. The De Ville was more basic.

Eldorado is always better than Deville.
@dlwatib5 жыл бұрын
They both has leather upholstery standard. Only the Eldorado (and other Fleetwood models) had the genuine wood trim on the doors and quarter panels above the rear armrests. Either could be had with bucket seats and a center console. The original leather in both was perforated for greater comfort in hot weather. It appears that the leather in this example has been replaced. Power vents were standard on Eldorado and other Fleetwoods, optional on others. White sidewalls were only standard on the Eldorado, optional on all others.

dlwatib Was the leather in these cars coated in a similar way that modern automotive leather car seats are?
