My next door neighbor back in 1980 had the exact same car but his was blue but had dual exhaust on both sides 👈❗He had taking me and my Dad for a ride once and I was sitting in back and when he floored it threw me back into that back rounded window 👈❗This is my favorite year for Corvettes .....❗❗❗❗His car was in Mint Condition !!! It was his Baby !!! This is probably my favorite car I've ever seen on your channel !!! But Heck I really love all your cars you show !!!!!! Like I always say. Original condition has to mimic factory. The factory made to valve cover over spray and it has to be that way for restoration. Nice car but I like resomods.

Thats generally how they came from the factory so they chose to include that in the restoration for a more authentic look!
