On this episode of Motorhead Garage, the team does a complete LED conversion on our sweet 1972 Chevrolet Truck. Not only does it look great, but this swap adds an excellent level of added brightness that will certainly calculate into added safety as well.

If I switch my truck to all leds do I have to switch the trailer I sometimes pull with it as well ?

No, you can leave the trailer as it is if you want.

is the lens glass or plastic because i dont want crappy faded plastic lights

The only reason some lights fade is because they are created clear and then dyed red, orange, yellow or whatever. Ours do not fade because they are actually cast from material that is already colored.

Is there a full LED light kit available for 67-72 C10 trucks? if so. What is the part number?

What is the part number on those headlights??

This exact one is HLED794, however, there are a ton of optional LED headlights so we suggest you check out our website and do a search for LED Headlight to see you options. Few days ago I tried to install some LED headlights from “Octane Lighting” on my 72, but I couldn’t get any of the lights to light up. I flipped the terminals and nothing. Swapped my old ones back in and they run fine...any ideas why the LED’s won’t turn on? Thx

Juan Flores Are the properly grounded? If not they’ll never turn on I had same issue till I grounded them good.

Same thing JP said, we would be leaning toward a ground problem.

Thx guys! I reground my wires and sure enough, “there was light” . Thx again!
