I had a 67 Chevelle SS with bench seat and power glide transmission. It had a 360 hp 396. Folks have said that it never came with that engine but it did. It was a demonstrator that my uncle drove since he was the sales manager for the Chev dealer I worked at. I bought it when the 68s came out and paid $3,000 for it and It had a Holley carburetor hyd lifters but wasn't a high rise intake like the 375 hp.

Beautiful. My mom had a 66 4 door 6 cylinder when I was a kid. It was our family car. We went everywhere with it.

(sorta) a re-trimmed '66 ('64 on) Chevelle, as were MOST American cars "In THE DAY", but MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OF THE OVER-SOLD, OVER-PRICED CRAP "vehicles" ANYONE PUSHES NOW!

👍very nice restore,nice big block very clean. Curious though the tag and engine original for this car?.

Look at the lower chrome moldings on the lower body line (that runs MOST of the length of the car). Tell tale sign that it is a MALIBU , 136# numbered car. Another nice SS tribute car, HERE 😎👍

@@dudeski5333 The lower body molding IS MALIBU, NO matter WHERE it was built 😎👍
@dudeski53339 ай бұрын
@@jamescon55 the body side molding on an SS in 1967 ran down the rocker under the door. The Malibu was on the side of the car nine and three fourths of an inch from the bottom of the rocker to the center of the molding. The car in the picture had Malibu molding. Thus my comment about possibly Canadian built. They did things differently.
@jamescon559 ай бұрын
@@dudeski5333 Okay...Let me "re-describe" what I was referring to far as the MALIBU "lower body side moldings" which DO run about 3/4 way down the side of the car body ON THE ACTUAL BODY LINE OF THE CAR (NOT talkin about the ROCKER PANEL MOLDING which is another topic). So yeah, again, THAT IS WHAT I WAS referring to in my original post. And again? NO matter WHERE the car WAS built, Canada or USA ? ALL the "Special Deluxe" optioned 67 MALIBUS did/do have that (3/4 down the side of the car ON LOWER BODY LINE) "chrome" moldings indeed. The actual ROCKER PANEL MOLDINGS were also a option, NOT standard on ANY of the prior explained Malibus. Though "I think?" the ribbed black on chrome rocker panel moldings WERE standard on ALL Super Sport 66-67 Chevelles (anyways)...."I think" anyways. NEVER seen a Super Sport 66-67 Chevelle without them anyways.....Sorry for ANY confusion. My original statement about the "ALL the DELUXE optioned MALIBUS originally HAD/HAVE the chrome body moldings" STILL retains the same. (BODY LINE moldings, NOT the rocker panel moldings.) Happy Restoring and Cruizin 😎🤘🔥🤘
Not a real S/S.. its got Malibu chrome trim, no center console, etc. It is a very pretty car. Wish it was mine.

@jimthomas1989 Жыл бұрын
All 138 Vin Chevelle were 4 speed Muncie Trans unless it was special ordered , which would make this a super rare car , and you would restore a super rare car back to original , So what do you think ?
