The click of my moms wedding ring on that steering wheel. A sound today's children can't grasp.

Very sweet ride Mark! My favorite aunt had a 67 GTA with a 390, it was red with white stripes on the rockers. I got to drive it a lot when I was in high school. Loved that car. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy this beauty. Jim

I’m 60 years old and that’s the kind of cars we drove around in High School only ours were already worn out and beat up. None of my friends had sharp Fords like that one.

I’m 60 years old too . I remember it well ! My friends all had nice old chargers and challengers , cudas and demons , mustangs and fairlanes just like this … but yes , they were mostly worn out and tired , but still well maintained and cherished . But the good news is you could pick them up for $1,500 or so . Life was grand !

Thanks for posting. The '66-'67 Fairlane was the best looking Ford in my opinion. In the mid-70s, I had bought a '66 big block 4-speed car, a 500XL, white with a blue bucket seat interior. Of course - the same old story - I got married in '79 and I had to sell it.

WOW! Gotta love this one! It's a grown man`s car. It's not scraping the ground, the tires have sidewalls, it sounds awesome, bench seat and 4 on the floor is a personal favorite, you even resisted the fuzzy dice. I LOVE cars that do not have fuzzy dice! It's great to see that there are still a few people left in the world who are not tacky. I sleep better at night knowing that. You have done a magnificent job on this car.

Thanks I appreciate it! Bought from original owner in 1996 and was my first car.

@@markgibson61 Well, you have got yourself a very fine car. I used to have a `67 Comet cyclone. Same basic car, but it was a Merc. I love all those mid 60s "B" body cars, GM, Ford, Mopar, made no difference to me. All were beautiful, all were awesome. Yours is exceptionally cool. Have fun!

I have 1967 289 fairlane convertible bought graduated from college. The thing is I still have it. The longest thing I have owned and I wanted it not a Mustang had a better frame and glass window in the top. My husband wanted me to sell it for $500.00. I didn’t build a pole building instead .
