Great game for the Packers. Grabowski was awesome with 3 TDs and close to 150 yards rushing. The Packers looked great but they were definitely tired. Jerry Kramer was absolutely a pleasure to watch!! Fran Trakenton was elusive as ever!

I was at game, by dad had taken me, was on my birthday 10/22. All the fans were excited at the half, since the giants were leading 14-10. Then packers got that great running game going, and it was over. I'd always wondered how the giants could have allowed Lombardi to leave in 1959, and then Tom Landry the following year, and wind up with Allie Sherman. Packers running attack was totally awesome

@Matt Pizzano Yes the Giants did fall on hard times. Lombardi or Landry could definitely have made a difference. However, it's interesting to note that the best teams the Giants had during that time was when Alex Webster was coaching. Like in 1970 when they finished 9-5 and would have made the playoffs had they not started 0-3 that year.

This is one of those games I have mixed emotions about. I am from Minnesota and loved the Vikes. I especially loved Fran Tarkenton. The worst thing that happened to the Vikes was Norm Van Brocklin. He is the one who forced Fran to leave the Vikes. Now, because the Vikings up to 1969 never were in it for a championship, the Packers became my defacto team. I absolutely loved them and still do. This Packer group up to the time of Vince Lombardi retiring as head coach is the greatest team ever in pro football, at least for me.

Eventually Fran Tarkington wanted out of my Giants by 1971 and was traded back to the Vikes in 1972 for Norm Snead and Bob Grimm., in which Norm Snead led me league in passing in 1972 and the Giants went 8-6 and the Vikings went 7-7. Then after that season the Giants did not have a winning season until 1981 and the Vikings went to the Super Bowl in 1973 and 2 more times after that.
