Is it me or, is GOTD the best thing on the internet? Norman's Rare is the panicle of all internet sites. Jen Jen Jen, Michael Lemmo is untouchable! 68-69 ahh those were a couple iconic years in music. That Hummingbird embodies them beautifully. Always wanted one. Played wonderfully by Lemmo as usual. 👍👍

The Hummingbird is the only Gibson acoustic that has ever tempted me. I almost bought one in 2005 when it could still be had for less than $2,000 before taxes, but the instrument I chose then is one that I don't think I could have passed up, a Minimoog Voyager Electric Blue synthesizer. Hearing Michael Lemmo play this one definitely serves to reinforce why I was tempted by it before.

That's beautiful guitar sounds nice. but why is the bridge upside down ? Did they release them like that in 68/69 ? First thing I noticed

These videos are awesome. As an artist you should experience "suffer" - go thru very interesting phases of life. I hope Lemmo feels it and does something with it. He has the platform. And of course Norm's is badass and timeless as always!

I bought one back in 68. I ended up trading it for a 69 Vox violin bass. I just didn't like the flat sound of the bird.

That adjustable bridge is kinda dicey, and that pickguard is way big! Some sound better than others.

Listen to it - zero bass, compressed thin tone, no depth. Late 60s & Norlin acoustics are interesting sounding firewood because they were over-braced to save on warranty claims.

Sounds plenty bassy to me on headphones, also they don’t really do the guitars justice on the channel as everything is picked up by the camera mic
