1968 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 diecast review (1/18 scale) by Auto World

You want to talk about muscle cars, you want to talk about icons, you can never doubt the Ford Mustang. The 1967/68s brought up a few changes but the thing that caught me on this one was the nice aqua poly color. Although not as aggressive looking as other muscle cars, the Mustang front fascia has always been excellent.

Great review! The fastback Mustang is such an iconic look. It is frustrating how the prices of the Autoworld models are getting up there, but they are still having basic details and okay quality.

I know right?! I would have expected the MSRP at like 75 bucks or so and stores to be selling it for less. But yeah, I've seen these at almost 100. That's a huge no for me. Still it looks good but expected better. Thanks!

The frosted headlamps are really looking od on this model. But overall a very nice detailed model of this amazing '68 Ford Mustang. But a few details could have been done a little bit better. Very nice paint and I like the blue interior in this combination. Overall I'd say a very nice model car.

I thought the frosted headlights were weird as I had not seen them on a Mustang model before (i.e. the ones I have) but overall is not bad. At sale prices of $50 or less, these are great. At almost 100, I would not bite unless I was Mustang super fan lol. Thanks!

Autoworld продолжает всё такое же допотопное исполнение своих моделей. Трудно им избавиться от "клюшек" при навешивании дверей. Ну, а багажник сделать открывающимся - тут вообще непосильная задача.

They just keep reusing older Ertl tooling with minimal updates. Hopefully they'll actually get to do more exciting stuff in the future

Surprised to see no opening trunk. Like heh? Also, can we not just get away from dog leg hinges on these guys??? You do the nice hinges on other cars that you sell around the same price…. Just saying. We have the technology. Lol!

Yeah. They are just using the Ertl moulds and practically only adding carpeting and a few details and that's it. How I wish for them to actually update these older ones. 😫🤷🏽‍♂️
