Great car and combination! Love the fact that you’re Rockin’ a T5. Those little transmission are way stronger than most people think.

Beautiful Torino! I’m a Mopar guy but I love any close to stock looking muscle car that rips like that. Also would’ve never guessed it was that light, nice. Good luck this year!

I would never guessed this mild 302 would get you into the 11’s. Nice job and the new add on’s should help.

Thanks! I was surprised it made as much power as it did with this combo.

Awesome man maybe some 11.50 index in your future . You have one of my favorite ford's at our track . That oil pan may surprise you I saw an article years back of a dyno session and I recall like 25 hp was found in a old pan with windage tray . Hope to see you at track
@mikeymac9 Жыл бұрын
I might be able to do 11.50 especially getting rid of deep staging this year. The Outlaw 10.5 schedule it tough tho with all the back to back weekends but I’ll be at a few for sure. I figure oil pan has to better than stock. lol Thanks man!

Love it I have a 68 Torino fastback!!! What is your wheel combination on the back?
@mikeymac9 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The drag wheels are cheap 15x8 Jegs SSR 4.5” back space. Tires are 26x10 MT ET Drag stiff walls.

Any issues with the Comp Cam rockers lining up with the valves in those Trick Flow 11R’s?
@mikeymac9 Жыл бұрын
No issues at all. Guide plates were surprising easy line up. It all just worked out.

@mikeymac9 Жыл бұрын
Who cares about mpg? lol Finish hot rod drag week without a single issue. Pretty reliable.
@mikeymac9 Жыл бұрын
I did get 18-19 mpg on drag week. .59 overdrive.

I’ve always liked 302’s growing up with fox bodies. Cheap and easy to work on. I like the idea of doing more with less. If you have a big block it’s supposed to be fast but a 302 is surprising running 11’s in an old muscle car. I think its cool. It also weighs about the same as most street strip fox bodies. It’s 3000 pounds without me.

@@mikeymac9 nice awnser I do love 302 they've always made it home no matter what I've done 2 them, I too built A302 because I love them but now I want to be more competitive and 2020 it takes 400 plus cubes to get it done, when i built mine ba k in 2002 there was barely any like mine, now there like ants on a lolipop
@mikeymac9 Жыл бұрын
@@alltherpm What car do you race? I’ll do some 12.50 index and some 12.0 at Midwest Drags this year. Maybe 11.50 if it’s quick enough but we will see.
