In 1986 I had an opportunity to buy an original 1969 RS/Z28 black with white rally stripes like this. It had the 302 with a Muncie 4 speed. At the time it was for sale for $4k. Wish I would of bought it.

Very beautiful paint work I have restored 8 of these myself my brother has one he bought brand new ordered it November of 68 its git 21,000 original miles never been painted all original

Who ever painted it didn't know what they was doing with the stripes. The factory stripes doesn't go to the edge of the trunk lid

A real nice build, but without the Original drive train.. its not an authentic Z28 anymore.. be interesting to see what it sells for. Original Z28's value increases with the more Original parts the car still has. So black was a very rare color if at all in 69, just heard you say it was originally silver, which makes more sense.. Good luck

X33 is trim tag code which proves it being a Z28 with the RS trim option! Asking $71,900 obo!
