In 1969 I was 5 years old and started studying at the public primary school in Eldorado, a small rural town in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. A few months later I was expelled because I fought with the school principal's son. My mother's aunt's husband and my maternal grandfather, one of whom was vice-mayor and the other a councilor in the city, interfered. Threatened with administrative proceedings at the Department of Education because she had expelled a child from the public school who fought while protecting another (her son), the principal backed down and I returned to school two weeks after being expelled. This was the most important event of my life in 1969 with great repercussions on my future. That was the only school in the city and if I hadn't been able to study there my life would have been very very different and probably worse.

Yes. The use of music on a documentary is not too bright. I don’t enjoy any music on videos. By the way. Nobody landed on the moon. Stanley Kubrick directed.

An interesting and very informative documentary which captures a good overview of the year 1969. The importance of this year as shown in the film should inspire people to look deeper into this year as a way of better understand the importance, power and influence 1969 had on the world. I was there, in a rock and roll band, and for me 1969 was magical, brilliant and very, very groovy baby.

The interenet was born in 1969 was it ? Amazing. Given The U of Hawaii Packet radio didn't happen till 1971 and Arpa net not till 1973 this must be something someone thought of in 1969 as some concept; very groovy man.

@UNITEONE1 Well said. I can't argue with any of it. A point I often make about the Space Program is....in it's early stages the Astronauts witnesses like a dozen launched that ranged from never firing to exploding on the pad and after launch. Yet....these men STILL got on top of them and trusted it wouldn't kill them!!! Talk about crazy brave! Then...to have some punk shit poster denigrate all of them and call them liars???? That's exactly why these morons are doing. Claiming we've never been to the moon is calling thousands of people from the crews to everyone at NASA that achieved the impossible...is to call them liars. I can't tolerate that! I am blown away and beyond thrilled with what SpaceX is doing. When the two boosters return to the launch site and land next to each other...that's some Buck Rogers level stuff there. They are doing today the things we only dreamed about and saw in comics or fantasy movies. I'm in Phoenix and was able to see two of three Falcon launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base...in like the last 10 days! 10 days! It is absolutely amazing. They are on auto pilot. Launch after launch, boosters landing on ships...in the ocean over and over again. I stand in awe!!! Now, it certainly has been an interesting week and...it's cast s pall over my eyes and soul. We learned this week what most of us suspected. We are in a constitutional crisis....which is the way I see it. The executive branch of our government who is lead by the person ELECTED as president... Is not in control of the executive branch. It's apparently that there is very little he is in control of. So, just who in the hell is running that office and acting.... ACTING as the commander in chief, leader of the free world and the POTUS??? It ain't Kamala Harris. No one connected to the Oval Office because they can't stand her or trust her. Is Jill Biden pulling an Edith Wilson? I don't recall her being on any ballots or even her name mentioned by electors. The Democrat party is illegally in charge of the executive. There are no secrets in DC. They've all know this, the media has known this. Hell, they were leading the charge during the 2020 dem debates talking about how Biden had already gone round the bend. Worse... whomever is in control...is going to at best lead us falling bass ackwards into WW3 or...a nuclear exchange over a war that will solve nothing! I'm an independent because I've lost complete faith in both parties. Neither give a damn about the constitution and they have no reason to fear us because they never have to worry about being held to account for their lies and corruption. But, I do agree with you that one party has become so dangerous. As dangerous at the southern Democrats that fired on Fort Sumter. I do believe that they are so emotional crippled and ideologically bent that they fully believe that there is no line that can't be crossed, that the ends justify the means, that if people need to die so they can maintain power and bring about the elusive Utopia then...that is acceptable. I've been following politics...closely...since I was 11 years old in 1980. I've never been afraid in all that time. Not even the Soviet threat of Nuclear war scared me. I am terrified!!! I have no idea just how far this party will go. I'm beyond terrified. So....that's my peice... Lol. Thank you, I very much appreciate reasoned and logicsl comments as they can be so rare. I wish you and yours peace and happiness. Cheers!
