Great job finding some good inexpensive parts. I've tried the cheap eBay suspension parts before and they lasted 2 years and I drive the truck once a month lol.

Yeah those a arms are pretty neat, I hope they hold up. The cpp stuff is good but pricey

You could just cut the sway bar links probably would've saved you a few minutes. Nice car. I have a 70 Olds 442 so appreciate a nice GM A Body

Did you have to put back the shims from the old upper a arms on the new tube a arms? I think they are for wheel alignment purposes.

Most of the time it will need shims...old cars arent perfect.

What do you call that tool that you used that’s shaped like a fork to remove the steering lo linkage?

If I know I am doing a job that involves several sections of work I spray penetrating oil on all the bolts I am planning on removing even if part of the job will be done later.

@@gsfootage5959 yep, I had to remove my exhaust bolts and sprayed them on both sides, the first ones were still a bitch but the later ones came right off.

Great video. I'm getting ready to tackle the same thing as soon as we get some days above 60 degrees. Went with speedway control arms and viking coil over adjustable shocks. Hopefully start in next weekend. I have a question. Mine has a manual steering box. But anyway is it possible to remove the upper control arm without dismantling the steering rod? Thanks for the video

Thanks. I completed the job about a month ago and yes I was able to leave steering column in place. Just got everything back from alignment shop so anxious to drive it when it decides to stop raining.
