Spent my early childhood years riding in a 70 Concours my parents owned in the 70s and early 80s. 350 2 bbl, 250 gross HP is what the sticker on the air cleaner said. My dad sold it for 600 bucks in 1982, it ran great and the paint was 7/10. There just wasn't much market for V8 powered wagons in the early 80s, gas was extremely expensive relative to the value of the dollar from 79-82, over $4 per gallon in 2022 dollars.

I used to have one of these ... I put the cowl induction hood on it, all the SS emblems from the Chevelle, slotted aluminum rims with raised white letter Dean Stingers on the rear (60's) and Coopers up front (70's), a bed in the back, bucket seats, B&M star shifter, , Fuzz Buster, 8 track player, and low hanging yellow fog lights.....it was 1979 and the coolest station wagon anywhere at the time. Blew away a Camero in it once and the cop pulled us both over and asked me if it was worth it. I looked at the Camero and then looked back at him and said "yeah" he laughed and let us both go.

There’s just something I love about these old muscle wagons and I’m not a fan of station wagons

Not the original engine, right? As far as I know 1970 offered big blocks in 402 (marketed as 396) and the 454. The 427 was no longer I believe.
