I have a 71 project car, but it was born with a 307 and standard bumper. It had a 350 smogger with a spun bearing when I pulled it out of a field and now has another 350 and TH400 that I had from a previous car. Somebody added the big 3 piece spoiler (the single was still the standard Z28 spoiler) at some point as well as repainting it red with black stripes. But it only cost $800 so I'm not complaining.

One thing cool about the 2nd generation f bodies was how different a 70 looked when compared to the later ones. Same body but widely varying looks between the earlier and later designs, both looked good though.

That split bumper is a great look.

10 bolt 8.5 ring gear is plenty strong with the big yoke on the pinion/prop shaft. Excellent Camaro SS tribute.

All around that is a GREAT looking Camaro!! 👍👍👍

That's probably one my top ten favorite cars featured in this show. The other is the 72 Chevelle SS white on black.

I had a 70 & 1/2 RS 350 with a 327 high HP v8 in it this is the best looking Camaro IMHO it had a small rear spoiler great look . The wheels I would use are the Daisy type , not a fan of the wheels on the Z28 .. OK not the best .

The trunk should stay up on its own. Cars with spoilers had different torque rods than those without. Either the torque rods are worn, or are wrong for it and it did not have a spoiler originally. I would have liked to have seen the cowl tag on this one.

I've got a 71 grill with the SS emblem with it. It came off of one we had that got wrecked in the rear. I'd take 50$ for it

You are a wealth of knowledge, however, the stripes are not part of the RS package. The stripes were part of Z28 package.

It's technically a 70 and a half they didn't make a 71 they went to 72 with full front bumper

The 3-piece COPO spoiler was available as an option after April 1970. It wasn't a "1971 and on" spoiler. Do your research before you get on the internet and preach.
