Feast your eyes on this ladies and gentleman! A true survivor work truck from an era gone by. With each passing day you see far less of these older trucks actually being used as... well trucks.! At some point you need to hook a trailer to them, haul some mulch, take your kids fishing, help your neighbor move that couch, Cruise it down a dirt road or just go down to local jockey lot for a bit. These trucks are work horses! Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean they aren't ready to keep on working! Find yourself one before they're all gone and barret jackson makes you think they are worth $50k like this.....

There's 18 and a half minutes of my life I'll never get back... But then again wouldn't have it any other way, it's always enjoyable to waste time watching cool old iron I'll never own & definitely good to hear from ol' dirty dodge getting her 2 cents worth in :) If I didn't know better, from how well everything still works in that old Ferd & how straight it looks I'd say it could have been under 7k miles... Obviously it's not gonna be, but I do think it might only be 106 not 206 from the way stuff isn't just worn slap out like the door tag & brake pedal.

Engines were 300-6 302/360/390. All those engines were available in F-100 to F-350. Transmissions were C-4 for the 300 and 302, 360/390 got the C-6. The A/C is factory, as you can see, there wasn't much in the way of venting, even though it was factory, it was pretty much an add-on. After a while, it did work, and it would freeze full blast. All in all, a helluva truck. Especially the XLT option. Usually these came in outside wood trim too. Real weirdo was the gas tank on the frame, and a plastic 2 door cabinet setup behind the seat.

My dad was some proud of having the “new” engine platform. That’s what the salesman told him anyway. I’m still rolling the 65 F100 stepside. Unfortunately, it has the 260 L6 with the 3 speed manual on the column. Someone tried to steal it last year but couldn’t figure out the shifter. At least they left the keys in it for me!

I'm buying a 1986 Ford Econoline 150 conversion van with the big six engine and three speed column shift manual, it's a true survivor, it's a northern van that isn't rusted out and only has 55K miles on it, ran like a champ for awhile until the previous owner put Ethanol blend gas in it which killed the fuel system, I'm only paying a grand for it since it doesn't run, it's also a 2 owner van, the first owner sold it in 2012 when it had 52K on it, second owner only put 5K miles on it because she wanted to keep it nice, I've had my eyes on this van ever since I saw it for sale back in 2012, I plan on converting from a sbc to EFI with a setup off a late 1980s early 1990s six cylinder F-150, from the looks of it it ought to bolt on and work with minor adjustments and give a minor power and torque gain as well as better starting and reliability

That's an FE, probably a 360. The shitty 400/351M was only like 77-80. FEs are great, that one needs some tuning though big time. FEs have a wide intake that the valve covers partially go over and the push rods go through the intake. They also have a unique water pump and it has that short hose going from the pump to the intake.

That IS factory A/C. That's how Ford did factory air in their pickups from 67'-72' until the updated 73's came out and they FINALLY integrated it.

That’s an FE block so it’s either a 360 or 390 so probably a 360. The 400 you’re referring to is the 351M/400. Not to be confused with the 351 Windsor which was used until like 1997. The 351M/400 replaced the FE block in the trucks in 1977. So my guess is you have a 360 truck jay

I don't know about the trucks, but I had a friend who had an 06 Magnum with the 5.7 that would randomly lose electrical power while driving and reset itself while still running, and would occasionally refuse to start, the electrics would come on, but it just wouldn't crank. After it left us stranded in a parking lot, he finally figured out it was the BCM. At least something worth looking into for your truck.

Put a crankshaft position sensor on the dodge. It will do everything you have been saying especially the check engine light.

That compartment is for the spare tire. On the old style odometers you can tell if they have gone over 100K by the letters not lining up top to bottom. That old Furd F-2fitty is probably a matching numbers survivor but looks to have been worked long and hard.
