I'm fortunate to own a 1969 280SE sedan, the 4-door version of this car. It's big and boxy, but still holds a classic style. The front grill is showpiece of this car. It was my Grandmother's car and she left it to me. It's always been garaged and is in impeccable shape for being an un-restored classic.

I was just a lad when I first saw a new one exactly like this Benz. It was quiet special then, and it still is today.

HONESTLY. I'm trying to figure how to sell my kids' kidneys so I can get this Ambassador of Baadass in my driveway. Takes my breath away. I also saw one just like it when I was a mere babe. As my 6th grade teacher used to say: Jesus H. Christ! Drop the mic. D.O.N.E. 🔥🔥🤦

I can draw the analogy between classical music and this car; eternally beautiful. given the choice, I would take this car over any modern, high speed, millions of $ cars. It has no parallel.

I bought one of those (280SE) in Miami 1987 for 12’US, not as perfect as this one,but still very nice. If I sold it? Yes,of course. Stupid as I was. I didnt realise back then what a fantastic car it was and investment. Stunning piece this -71 model !

It's not oyster. I have an e320 with oyster... which is much lighter than this. This could be Bamboo, Java, or Dark Cream Beige. Either way, this car is gorgeous. My favorite color combo in this model is a coco brown (flat) with a coco brown interior and top.

IMy dad had one I love it but as its spare parts are rare we sold it few years ago but I know very well that Mercedes of 70's and 80s are really the best Its just a pleasure to be owner and to travel by such vehicles

What a beauty! Top down and windows up gives this photo shoot the essence of a luxurious car (without the bugs flying in and around.) The photography shows the styling lines to perfection. It also makes plain that the rear seats won't work well with even slightly tall people in front. Was there and SEL (long wheelbase) model?

Very true nowadays they can't just go beyond the s class as a Mercedes fan i badly want them to make a real classy ultra luxury which would look even better than rolls royce like in past when they used to make cars at par or even better than a rolls royce
