remembers me to my trip from Bruxelles to Teheran in the mids 70ties. No truck but BMW 525. It took about 7 days on the E5 thats nowadays only exists in some parts. Remember the crashes an demaged cars the police in Yugoslavia put on poles for warning; the overloaded Ford 20m with turkish workers on their way from Germany to their homes homes in turkey on holidays, diwan & fridge on the roof; the young men offering their sisters and carpets at the Bulgarin-Turkish frontier; .... Its seems having been romantic. But sure it wasn´t. No power-steering, no air condition, no fridge in the cab but 40 degrees and more (not Fahrenheit ;-) ) and the chance of robbery in eastern turkey. It had been nice and incridible and awesome because you were young and you´ve been like a sponge. ..... . THX for uploading!

Pioneers ! I wouldn't have the balls to make that trip even today with all mod cons and better roads.

As far as I understand from the signs that appear in the frame at the 12th minute and 38th second, this is most likely the Refahiye(Because a place with Erzincan on one side and İmranlı on the other can only be Refahiye) district of Erzincan(where I was born) province. However, when going from Refahiye to Tehran, you do not pass through the pass named Kızıldağ(If you look at the 13th minute and 12th second of the video, you will see that he passed through the pass called Kızıldağ), but you pass through the pass named "Sakaltutan". Why such a thing is not possible: Because the Kızıldağ pass is to the west of Refahiye. But this small mistake does not change the fact that the images throughout the video are very wonderful. Best regards from Germany
