In this video we take off the cylinder heads to inspect the condition of the cylinder bores. We then remove the pistons and cylinders to send the cylinders off to have them Nikasil plated.

5:15 definitely not factory, used to be somewhat usual way to do sound dampening, you're right those tappets are pretty noisy. Definitely get rid of it before it clogs the oil passage. Nice video, looking forward to more updates on the goose.

Gilardoni sets are available, cylinders pistons and rings. They make them once a year and I think now is the time! I had a set on my Eldorado and I have some for my Ambasador too.

They became available about the time I sent my cylinders off to be plated. From the pricing I saw it was a little cheaper to have mine plated and get new rings.

I sent them to Millennium Technologies in Wisconsin. They were great to deal with and a quick turn around. www.millennium-tech.net

@@bryansprojects3570 Was it Nikasealed or was it resleaved with a chrome bore? Just asking. Btw I’ve watched this whole series on the Guzzi and it’s been my road map to working on my bike 70 Ambo.
