In this episode, we’ll be moving from the outside of our project Jeep CJ5's body and diving into its tub where we spent a lot of time scouring, sanding and cleaning it up before treating it with some POR 15. With any minor rust issues that might still be present addressed, we then prepped everything to have it bed lined with a durable coat of Raptor Liner. We hope you enjoy our presentation.

Someone already mentioned this, but the entire prep portion I keep thinking that with you shop space and land in front of your shop you could easily set up a sand/media blasted and saved hours of prep. Still loving the series and watching the progress, nice job👍🏻

Great job! I have had two cj5s and I am now 25 since. I'm looking for a late 70s - early 80s CJ5 V8. I liked all the videos, but my daughter said the music sounded like a teen movie sound track. You did a great job on her - enjoy!

Eddie the raptor liner looks great ! Would you ever use it on the outside of a jeep ? The application looks pretty straightforward. I know preparing is 95% of the job . How did the undercoating gun perform?
@wayalife
@wayalife 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I personally hate bed liner on exterior parts as it just becomes a dirt and mud magnet and looks terrible over time. Of course, that's just me. The undercoating gun was something that I had from years ago and the Raptor Liner bottle wasn't able to screw on to it. This made it cumbersome to use but otherwise, it worked fine. If you go this route, I would highly recommend you get the gun that is often sold with the kit as that will help make things much easier to use.

Good evening my friend, Pleasure, my name is Marcos, I'm from Brazil, and I have a willys too, year 1982, I love it, and I loved the application he made with RAPTOR LINER, Here in Brazil I do not have it yet, but I would like to know what value of each refill in the stores of your city, And if you can buy it for me if I deposit the value for you ..

Question- did you use all three bottles of liner on the tub? Would you think RL could work as an undercoat in the wheel wells? I think I have found my Jeep and she looks much like Jane did before you started. It's a 75' 304. Little rust through on passengers side from the headers leaking. Going to run look at it next week. Thanks -

I was so inspired by your video and the hard work that went into it. You changed the entire direction for my DJ-5 postal jeep restoration. You should be proud of yourself! I do have two questions. How much or the Raptor Liner did you need and what was the chemical in the spray bottle you used after you did the sanding (but I'm not talking about the metal prep you used before the 415). Do you have an affiliate link for the Raptor Liner?
@wayalife
@wayalife 2 жыл бұрын
I needed to use almost 3 full bottles and here is an affiliate link. amzn.to/3Gm63rJ Also, I used Xylene to wipe down everything. Really toxic stuff so be sure to use a proper chemical respirator.
