Only 58,000 mile walk around. One Owner did not have time to take for a drive, was able to do this walk around. Pics of this specific car can be found at car show if one looks on the internet.

Awesome video John! I haven’t seen that body style Rivera in years. Great color combo. I remember those velour seats from the 70’s. You used to sink in them and it felt like riding on a cloud.

Thank you for watching! The seat was as soft as a Barcalounger recliner! Don't know if you have seen the Christine look alike I found, it is on the channel as well.

77 - 78 Riv the rarest of the bunch. 4 wheel discs were a novelty at the time. You can see why these are like I say: "one step below Cadillac."

I love the Oldsmobile 403 engine you can always tell its an olds engine just by the signiure oil fill tube is mounted in fromt of the engine block most GM engines the oil cap fill was always on the valve cover

Nice car but I prefer the power seat controls to be on the arm rest with the power window and locks!

Those rally sport steering wheels did come stock on some Buick models at the time though. The LeSabre Sport Coupe for example.

Why can’t they build cars like this now sophisticated & elegant & sporty living room on wheels it’s been a long time but I remember how they ride quiet & smooth this junk they build today noisy & you feel every imperfection in the street and they are ugly this car is gorgeous

Some seats today feel like fabric on top of plywood. Just have to make them cheap and sell for big profits! I don't understand bigger tires, short sidewalls myself.

??? This is a 1977 Riviera based on the close-up shot of the label adhered to the engine - which reads “This vehicle conforms to US E.P.A. regulations applicable to 1977 model year new motor vehicles”.

Wonder how the ride is compared to the 79’ anybody know or have an opinion

I would think it is still the soft cushy ride of that time period.

@@cousinjohncarstuff4568 …..I guess so but on the 79’ they had independent suspension there was probably a little difference.

In '78, I got me a brand new 1, with 403, Astroroof, triple White, except red dash&rug. 4whl disc, limited slip. Fully equipped. Coming from a '76 deuce Landau coupe, it felt quite sporty. But, it didn't have da same smooooooooooth ride as my duece. Nevertheless I ❤ it. Gr8 car.

The rally sport steering wheel did come stock for some Buicks at the time though . For example they are stock on my 77 LeSabre Sport Coupe, as are the rally mag wheels. I call it the “1962 steering wheel” because it reminds me a lot more of the 60s coupes than steering wheels in the late 70s and 80s.
