I remember going to this one, our fucking coach broke down on the M6 just outside Manchester, we were all thumbing lifts on the hard shoulder. A guy in a Mini van going to the match pulled over and 5 of us jumped in the back - imagine doing that nowadays! Got there in time for kick off and the result pleased us!

@@3879keith he must have been very young here..by the start of the 1980s he was one of the best defenders in England..

utd relegated west ham that day more or less.

We still had 2 games left.. we beat Boro away 2-1 .. then lost at home to Liverpool 0-2.. that result sent us down..

sweet i dont remember totally but i do remember this was bad result for west hsm at that stage.
