Cyrus Loves India I guess DD was the only channel. I want to add a little bit more, our neighbors used to come by and would watch each and every serial, the whole house used to transform into a mini theatre. Those were some best memories which nowadays is a rarity. Thanks for the reply
@cyruslovesindia6 жыл бұрын
A B yes true. Actually the main Doordarshan channel was channel one and then in early 80's I guess DD 2 was introduced which came only in the evenings. We had to modify our TV so that the other channel could be accommodated. Our first colour TV came in 1991 when I was abt 11. Remember those antennas which had to be continually shifted to get a better reception.Yes really enjoyable days. Free from the internet WhatsApp Facebook period of today. Kids were really rough and tough then.....

Therefore there's an old say :- Roses are Red Violets are Blue No matter whatever you do There's always an Asian who can do the same thing better than you.

I used to live opposite Murphy factory in Thane. Bush, Murphy, Philips radios...We had a valve radio 2 band Comer. In a wooden box. It required about 5m long net antenna to catch signals. The magic eye or tuning indicator was green blinking like the eyes of a cat about to go to sleep. When it was completely non functional, I still used the box and speakers. I fitted the much smaller transistor circuitry inside it! I was a teen then. I was crazy about circuits then. I assembled many 2 or 3 band radios called Super hetradyne receivers. Dismantled and made intercoms, etc. I assembled Jetking radio, a small one then, but powerful. I had a headphone with two big coils and a metal disc on it, which made sound.
